Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Good evening!
Man...once again I'm so behind here I dunno if I'm even gonna try catching up. Anyone wanna give me a recap?
Jen's at anime night, and I don't feel like cooking. But I'm hungry.

Crackers, cheese, wine. Snacky is a good way to go for supper!

This was day three. Went pretty well - built and installed one system and archived the info on the system it replaced, and have another about ready to deploy. Takes awhile. But apparently I'm doing better and learning faster than the person I replaced...so I guess there's that, though I kinda feel guilty that they keep making comparisons. I know how people tend to blame all kinds of stuff on the last person to leave. ;-)

Grr...don't have crackers and cheese. I do have bread and I guess I could have something like toast and eggs. Boring, but it at least doesn't involve werk.
I'm gonna have to figure out if there are any easy-to-get-to places on the way home that might have cheap but decent take out. Not fast food type places, though...most of the time, anyway.

Heh...Gidget could use her own TV. Just so Hair and ecurbh can watch whatever they want and she could continue watching Animal Planet.
Do they make ruggedized TVs for dogs that like to lunge at the screen?

Dunno....but they need paw-sized remotes. There might be some good animal shows on other channels that she might like.

Tomorrow is Friday already - eek! I gotta fill out my first time card so's I can turn it in Monday morning...
I've never had to do those, and I'm terribly afraid I'll forget. I know it's not the end of the world if I do, but I wanna do stuff right!

Maybe a mat with pressure points that she could use as a remote? Like those kid piano keyboard mat things that you can jump on to play notes.

I should invite your sister down here, right? She's always wanted to see one up close and personal. And that'll guarantee a whole lot of pictures. ;-DYou just want my help holding the fence. :~D
