Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Some of us do use reason...
Sigh. The only thing more boring than writing my story right now, is writing this critique that's due next week.

You won't be the one that kills her. But you have a motive. Well, everybody in the book has a motive. And I think it happens with your gun.

I have an average of two per week for the next three weeks. So, basically you're going to be a numb-butt for the next three weeks? ;o) Can't wait to see the production! Let me know who wants it next, and I'll send it on from here!

They'll steal it.
I'm trying to work it so that all the pieces in the puzzle come together in one big dramatic scene. Things are all resolved between the family members, and then this person - either the mistress or her child - comes in an blows granny to smithereens.

"Some of us do use reason..." Probably true:-) But I have just had it explained to me by 2 woment that female reasoning works differently - females reason circularly while males reason linearly.

Can you freepmail me your address again? I think I promised to keep it, but I'd have to dig back to pre-lilies to find it in my freepmail.

You're gonna have to read the book. ;-) I'm not sure I'd wish that on my worst enemy.

Easy... buy the boat gun for ~her~ for Christmas.
What? Won't work? :-)
BTW... the daily dose thread is particularly cool. Shows W in Mongolia. Some great photos of W with some traditional Mongolian horsemen preparing to ravage the enemy in the style of Ghengis Khan.
Also shows him visiting some people in their "Ger", also known as a "Yurt". I've always wanted a Yurt. They're really cool. Just need a place to put one. A friend of mine got one here: http://www.yurts.com/

Hmmm... I think maybe that's true... for some women. I think supposedly it's "inductive" reasoning versus "deductive". But then I know my brain is wired a little differently than most peoples so I won't give you a hard time about it any more. :-)

I'm trying to figure out what would be the most plausible reason I can give my wife on this one. OTOH, it may not matter, since reasoning is not the process females use to reach conclusions anyway. Sam! After this post, it's not her ability to reason I'm gonna blame for any friction over this rifle or your explanation of it!

Most of my girl friends and I agree that women tend to think about several things at once while men take up one task at a time. Generally speaking, of course.
Example: Going to the store to buy milk.
Woman: I'm going to the store, but since I'll be on Miller Drive, I'll go ahead and fill up the tank at the Shell while I call my mom to see if she needs anything. Then, I'll go to Walgreens instead of Publix because the milk is cheaper there and pick up my kid's prescription. I can also get the nail polish remover to do my nails for the party this Friday while I'm there. And some Alka-Seltzer in case I overdo it at the party.
Man: I'm going to Publix to get milk. Be happy it's the right kind.
*grinning*

Well, it's obvious to me that buying a new rifle is the best use of discretionarly money. 'Course, what's obvious to me is not always obvious to my beloved. We'll see what happens next.So why not a matched pair of rifle?
