Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Hey where'd everybody go? We're just back from "Joseph."
I'd forgotten that Patrick Cassidy was in the lead. And Amy Adams (apparently from American Idol?) was the Narrator.
It was a fun show.
I'm not staying up to write tho.

I'd forgotten that Patrick Cassidy was in the lead.I remember reading that somewhere not too long ago. I always though he was cuter than his older brother. Does he sing as well?

Very twisted... but not as catchy as the original badger song!

Gooooood morning!
To: Lil'freeper
Good mornin! I gotta bake a large sheet cake for the retreat Joseph is attending this weekend. The Rel Ed. Director had mentioned he might like to have one for the kids on the retreat who had recently celebrated birthdays, but he never got back to me to tell me for sure. He had forgotten about it until I e-mailed asking if he still wanted one. So he e-mailed me last night and asked if it were still possible. I can bake a single layer cake and just frost it in the pan! No prob. Cake mixes were on sale, "Buy 1, Get 1 Free" last week, so I got several. I have to take Joseph down to the retreat house about 4, then Clare and I have a Silver Award dinner at at 5:30. It's gonna be a busy one today!
Got any more troll meetings, today?

Not really. I'm doing a little more passive aggressive maneuverings today. Between that and the divine dark chocolate I've been nibbling on, I'm a happy camper.
To: SuziQ
Congrats to Clare on the Silver Award, btw!

Good morning!
This may be my last true Friday at this job. *sigh*
And I haven't yet seen anything at all to apply for on the job boards. I'm talking again the staffing agency lady today - here's hoping that doesn't come up completely empty, too.

Does he sing as well? He's got a good solid voice. But wife and I both noticed he has some annunciation problems. Not sure how to describe it in words but some of his vowel sounds sounded really amateurish. It was enough to be annoying.
His wife normally plays Mrs. Potiphar, but was out last night.
