Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh... Talon, want to explain how you'd be offended if I said you weren't weird?

This is where people who only lurk casually are totally lost.If they only pop in from time to time, they're gonna miss a lot of little melodramas.

No, that's the *new* group (as we call them) that split off from *us*.
:-)
Thing is, I look at those pictures and it's the very people that were so rude to me in the past...and I don't miss them at all. Funny how all the ladies that I liked *before* are the ones that I ended up still associating with.
The ladies in those pictures are cliquish and arrogant. Good riddance.

Not long after she met me at shootmoot (while still at the moot) she comment that I was not as weird as she expected. So far I have not yet let her forget this grievous insult.
;-D
To: Corin Stormhands
Although being called Iowan is also sorta insulting :P
To: SuziQ
Richmond isn't too artsy in that regard. I'm sure there's seats available for tonight's performance.

Although being called Iowan is also sorta insulting :P Yes, but I have no reason to try to impress you.

So would "weird Iowan" cancel each other out and be a neutral term?

One of these days...
"Hi. I would like to meet the programmer who thought double clicking a cell boarder should bring you to the top or bottom of a spreadsheet. Why? Oh, just to give him my appreciation for his efforts. Oh it was you?"
*BLAMO*
"Hi. I would like to find the engineer that was thoughtful enough to make fractions automatically convert to dates and provided no easy way to make that not the default. Oh, that guy over there? Thanks."
*BOOM*
Is it time to go home yet?
To: 2Jedismom; TalonDJ
um...don't you mean "Idaho?"
Whodaho? Youdaho! No! Idaho!

Nah, weird just IS, it is a neutral term of description for some of us. So that would be one accurate term and one that I wish was not accurate.
To: TalonDJ
But if they're both accurate than they can't be too very insulting. I think.
Sigh. Another hour until kickboxing... ugh...

Nah, weird just IS, it is a neutral term of description for some of us. I'm not weird. I'm eccentric.
To: Corin Stormhands
Even if it had been, I'm more likely to fall over than to kick my target.
Psst... I've been doing it for the hopefully weight-loss aspects, not the "beat people up" aspects.
