Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

We tried earlier to watch the Twin Peaks movie... So we had our share of weirdness here too. :~D

It is quite possibly the absolutely most strangest movie I have ever seen.

People fly in from Japan to have pie at the Roslyn cafe.
Sure, the pie is good.
But I don't know if it is fly-in-from-Japan good.

Were there seagull breeding issues at Alcatraz? We were there in the spring, there were nests and chicks everywhere, and they were aggressive :~D

Unless the little person speaking in reverse was in the movie, it was
not the most strangest
Twin Peaks thing there is.
Not by a loooooong shot.
<sniff> I miss Twin Peaks!

Morning EGE: heard about using it but never tried it. Supposed to be good for removing lead deposits on the front of the cylinder.

Morning OT: Brisk walk and Gypsygirl has settled in. Looks like sun's trying. Not sure of the agenda today, just may let it happen when it will.

I have no explanation. Compared to that, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas makes perfect sense.

Morning!
Yellowface is out in force now and the neighbors are more successful at rounding up leaves than they were yesterday.
Gots some words of crap to write today. I want to get at least a couple of thousand in before the race starts at 2:00. Got my victuals at hand and my Mews curled up snoosing beside me.

Yup, it's out now, but the leaves are still eluding my grasp. Perhaps they will all blow away. perhaps..

It's good as a remover of lead, carbon, oil etc. but very bad for people. Use of chem-resistant gloves and eye protectors is a must. It evaporates quickly and leaves a very clean piece, ready to be lightly oiled and put away.
Beware also of getting it on finished wood :) I always disassemble the steel from the stocks when doing this.
