Mmmmm.....Bambi bits....
My favorite episodes were 'the one where' the story is told as Scully's recollection. The baddies were foul-mouthed, but through the lens of her memory, the dialogue was cleaned up to hilarious effect. It's where I picked up the habit of saying "blankety-blank" when I really want to curse. ie "That blankety-blank! Did you see what he just did? He just blankety-blankin' blankety blanked it all up! I'm so blankety-blanked mad." yaaaay Scully!
My other favorite was 'the one where' Mulder and Scully are investigating mysterious deaths amongst a circus' sideshow employees.
"*urrrp* Maybe it was something I ate...."
Well maybe it was the second time he went off the deep end. I kept saying "Put that thing away! You might shoot your eye out." :)
...was referring to the thread :)
Poo situation rectified, I take it?
Heh...I say the double viewpoint one years ago, but I've all but forgotten it - they showed it first from hers and then again from his viewpoint, as I recall.
Pretty sure that was "Jose Chung's 'From Outer Space'" (season 3). Charles Nelson Reilly plays writer Jose Chung, who interviews Scully, Mulder, and various other people for his book about abductions, titled "From Outer Space". Lots of good bits in that one, including governor-to-be Jesse Ventura playing a Man in Black.
Mulder and Scully are investigating mysterious deaths amongst a circus' sideshow employees.
Season 2 episode "Humbug". Written by the same guy (Darin Morgan) who wrote "Jose Chung...", by the way.
I am such a geek...
Back from my walkabout in the Shire. It's a bit muggy and the wind is blowing....feels like rain. There's a lot of leaves that need raking around these parts. If I wait long enough maybe all of mine will blow into the neighbors' yards.
Breezy here, too, but nice and crisp. Feels kinda nice, but the wind is being scary again.
They're saying gusts may be up to 47 mph this afternoon. Yay.
I went out to Barnes and Noble for awhile for caffeine and to write for a bit. And we're doing a write-in later today.
It's muggy and 60'ish here. I've got the windows open. We could use the rain so I hope we get it later on today.
I want to get at least 5000 words today. I've almost got 2000 and I'm getting to the point where I kill Hair off. Think I'll have ecurbh call the cops.
All of this could have been avoided by not shopping at pawnshops. :)
I'm thinking about checking out pawnshops for a cheap used MP3 player...
Pawnshops...that's the other thing I dunno how to work in. Maybe the deposed princess has been reduced to running a pawn shop.
Don't go near one that's sitting beside a prominently displayed toaster.
I'm just sayin'.
Well if she's deposed maybe she has to hock her tiara for spending money.
I know better than that, at least...
Heh...possibly. Does mention of such a thing count? She's not my main character, so I couldn't tell the whole story of how she went to do that...but it could work as just part of a conversation. "Because of your beastly family, I - PRINCESS WHATEVERMYNAME IS - had to go into a PAWNSHOP and hock my tiara!!"
I wasn't going to say anything... :P
Oh.
why.
Not?
