Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

It's going really well. The last couple of days have been just great. Lots of interacting between folks that don't have occasion to do so often. Best all-group meeting we've had, methinks.

You're on season 2, right? I liked that one, maybe best. Not sure. Still need to locate season 4.
Season 5 should be starting any time, but I'm not sure I can take watching it one episode a week. Would drive me nuts. May have to wait and get the DVD's instead. :-)

LOL - we watched Season 4, at least the last half of it. It was fun, and something we looked forward to. I think season 5 starts in Jan.

They keep ~telling~ me they like it. They wouldn't be just telling me what they think I want to hear, would they...?
Nah... :-P

Then if they don't eat it, you can accuse them of being culturally insensitive.

...or if they ~do~ eat it, then I know who the brown-nosers are. :-) No right-thinking person would do so voluntarily.
Well... time to saddle up. See y'all later.

OT, the toaster has infected you with evil.
Ramius: repeat after me. Bagels good. Lutefisk bad.
