New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, |

Are you going to leave anyone there? :-D
I'm working on an interesting chapter of NaNo right now.
hehehe... Well... I'm to the point were I pretty much like everybody I have now. A year ago, I might have left one or two.
I didn't kill it. The tire did and it was it's own fault anyway for jumping the wrong way.
The dawn broke cold and still. Mist rose from fields, abandoned and over grown, as the sun touched the dew blanketing them. A sollip scampered to the middle of the flat stretch of cement. It paused for a second and looked around. Something was not right. A noise it was not use to hearing was growing louder. The small furry creature looked around. Something seemed to be moving through the mist. It seemed to be moving that way. The little creature took a moment to long to judge if they shape was close or far. It was close and coming closer very fast. The sollip sprang for the safety of the neighboring field. Hesitation and poor timing teamed up to end a small furry life on the wheel of a busload of technicians.
Did you miss it?
I dont think so. It ran right into us.
Hmmm, that was a rather sad life for the critter. It was created and killed in the space of one paragraph.
How 'bout I write your NaNo and you do my slides?
Just got done voting.
In all the times I have ever voted, this time had the largest turnout. We got there at 5:20. I waited in line with the kiddos until 6:55. We drove away right at 7:00.
RE: freedom fries... I think it's a texture thing, but it still doesn't really fit his MO, so to speak. Actually, he is eating ome right now ~ from Sonic if that makes a difference.
It was given for a noble cause. The cause of 0.26% of my novel.
Can't argue with that! Heck, I'd kill a bunny-thing for 0.26% of my grade, let alone my novel.
No deal, chica. I finally nkow where I'm going with my NaNo. :-P
Need help in a poll: Does annoying Freddie live or die? (Big'ol says Die, Freddie, Die!)
Don't kill her, just put her in a coma for the rest of the book.
I nearly killed my first-person-narrator MC last night. Settled for drugging her coffee and claiming she'd been sleep-deprived, the brat.
Lucky for them they aren't around anymore! *laughing*
Yesterday was such a lousy day at work, I sent out an e-mail to the whole Payroll Department with nothing in it but a link to the original YATTA video that Bear posted a few days ago.
Even sent it to my manager.
Today, I found the lyrics to the song posted on the outside of my cubicle and noticed several people humming the tune during the course of the day.
*evil smile*
Mission accomplished. I made some people's day a little brighter, thanks to Green Leaves and Bear's link.
Make Fred Dead.
8415.
Well, she has a coma weekend coming up. The villianess zots her with some nanites and they transfer all sorts of data directly to her brain. It helps her solve the 'crime' but makes her woozy.
Poor Fred. 2-0 so far. It'll be a nanotech-assisted biowarfare germ. But he'll die in the arms of the beautiful, blonde astronomer, who he thinks likes him, but really was just hanging out with him so she could steal his truck.
Three people started stalking my heroine last night.
I have no idea who they are. The nerve of some characters!
