Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

He still doesn't like freedom fries. It doesn't follow his pattern, so I am not sure I understand why he won't eat them. Have you tried different kinds of fries? I have a problem with Burger King fries ... and some issues with McDonalds'. I love Church's fries, though, and the ones from Wendy's.
Tater tots?
I'm fascinated by his statement that nachos taste sour to him, and that he needs lots of salt to tolerate green beans. I didn't touch the salt shaker when I was a kid, except when I ate watermelon (cultural thing). I'm glad that he's been able to expand his culinary horizons.
I can remember when I hated garlic, and onions. Now i can't cook without 'em!

I didn't touch the salt shaker when I was a kid, except when I ate watermelon (cultural thing). I think it's a recessive (or maybe dominant for all I know) taster gene thing too. My Dad put salt on his watermelon and swore it made it sweeter. For me, it only made it salty.
To: Overtaxed
My father and mother said the same ... that salt made watermelon sweeter. And it does, for me.
My daddy also salted his beer, but that might have been because it made the beer foam.
Hmmm ...!
To: Rose in RoseBear
Well...shake the beer up to make it foam. :)

Ooooh - I think McDonalds has the absolute best fries :~D
Don't really like the ones from any of the other chains. Too fat, too potato-ey :~D

Ever do the trick where you take a glass of coke, sprinkle pepper in it until there is a solid surface of it on top and then dump salt in the middle of the pepper until it falls through?
To: Ramius
You gonna hang with us in case the meeting gets boring?
To: TalonDJ
And why would you do this thing?

Because it makes the glass instantly foam over like a mini coke volcano... hehe
To: Rose in RoseBear
Well... it's *my* meeting... so I guess I can't ignore them too much. :-)
I probably will have to sign off shortly.

Tonight isn't really a meeting... it's just everybody showing up at the hotel. The meetings start tomorrow, and go through Thursday, Fri... and Saturday we're going to Alcatraz.

Your too far ahead! Do homework.
I was kinda slummped. But when in doubt, describe. I took ohe hundred and thiry words to describe a bunny like creature that ended it's existance under the wheels of a bus.
To: TalonDJ
Hey, description, I'm impressed. Why'd you kill it? Just for fun?
But I don't wanna do homework! Why're you being a good influence?
Just kidding, I'm trying to figure out what format the Friday assignment needs to be in because I'm fed up with slides for the Thursday presentation already.
