The Hobbit Hole XXV - Fare you well! Fare you well!
http://freeper.the-hobbit-hole.net/ ^

Posted on 10/15/2005 7:13:08 AM PDT by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Fare you well! Fare you well!

New verse:

Upon the hearth the fire is red,
Beneath the roof there is a bed;
But not yet weary are our feet,
Still round the corner we may meet
A sudden tree or standing stone
That none have seen but we alone.
Tree and flower and leaf and grass,
Let them pass! Let them pass!
Hill and water under sky,
Pass them by! Pass them by!

Still round the corner there may wait
A new road or a secret gate,
And though we pass them by today,
Tomorrow we may come this way
And take the hidden paths that run
Towards the Moon or to the Sun.
Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe,
Let them go! Let them go!
Sand and stone and pool and dell,
Fare you well! Fare you well!

Home is behind, the world ahead,
And there are many paths to tread
Through shadows to the edge of night,
Until the stars are all alight.
Then world behind and home ahead,
We’ll wander back to home and bed.
Mist and twilight, cloud and shade,
Away shall fade! Away shall fade!
Fire and lamp, and meat and bread,
And then to bed! And then to bed!

"I wonder what, what could Mi Tu Lon Kon Mi Zau could be thinking" said Qon Li Zu Kon Mi Zau, but he was interrupted by Shu Vo Mi Kon Mi Zau. "Come quick! Mu Shi Lo Sho Von Zau has killed the brothers Zu Xia Pon Phu Ti Ak Fa and Ib Tha Thu Za Ni Bet!"

That of course reminds me of the Monty Python sketch about Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern- schplenden- schlitter- crasscrenbon- fried- digger- dingle- dangle- dongle- dungle- burstein- von- knacker- thrasher- apple- banger- horowitz- ticolensic- grander- knotty- spelltinkle- grandlich- grumblemeyer- spelterwasser- kurstlich- himbleeisen- bahnwagen- gutenabend- bitte- ein- nürnburger- bratwustle- gerspurten- mitz- weimache- luber- hundsfut- gumberaber- shönedanker- kalbsfleisch- mittler- aucher von Hautkopft of Ulm.

They started by interviewing his cousin, Karl Gambolputty de von Ausfern... etc.

I've got Guido, toaster, pawnshop.

Dunno how I'll fit the badger in there.

I didn't get to start writing until I got home this evening.

And now it's time to fix dinner (else I'll be eating left-over candy all night.)

But I'm working on the badger angle.

I need to get more words in. I spent a very productive hour or so cleaning things.

I'm ahead overall but not to my daily word goal yet. I'm gonna try to put in another 500 words over dinner.
