Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Fare you well! Fare you well!
New verse:
|
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
|
|
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
|
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Okay, I'll see what the best options are. Sometimes the expense isn't that different. But I'll get them in the mail tomorrow a.m.

I'm still debating between totally silly, something that my little sister would like, or something that'd be just interesting to write.
Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Look at
this! If you scroll down, you will see a picture of the medical reserve corps. See that guy on the front row...big guy with his arms crossed in front of him? Look directly at the top of his head and you can just make out my forehead and dark hair!
In case you didn't believe me that I actually went. Heh hehe.

I sure will...I'll wear my yellow cap! Problem is, everyone else will be wearing their yellow caps too! LOL
I got my ID badge in the mail Saturday.
I'm hoping to go on my first mission in December...when Steve can take some time off and the kids are on school break.

I'll have to rent it then, providing I can talk Jeanne into sitting through it as well. I like R & B, blues and all that stuff, she's not quite as at home with it.

How about something totally silly that would be interesting to write and your sister would like?
Did I say Happy Birthday this morning? I don't think I did. I am going to get all the NaNo folk to sing for you, wait and see.

Heh...Matthew hates to do his math tests...they make him very nervous even though he can do them well! He has no trouble and always aces them...but he just gets so upset and anxious over them.
So I'm trying something. I told him to just go ahead and work on the easy problems first...get those done first and he can do the hard ones after lunch.
The thing is...they're ALL easy for him and once he gets to working on them he'll see it. But psychologically, he feels like there's no pressure. Maybe it will ease him into the test with less stress, till he gets his confidence up.
I can see this not being an issue after a test or two and he sees that he knows the material and can do it.

I think that's a good plan! Math anxiety is not a good thing, but I'll bet you get him over it in no time.

Well, I'm glad you like your kiddoes.
Nice quiet morning here. Having trouble motivating myself to go above and beyond.
