Evenin'. I'm here at rehearsal waitin' fer Jr. Didn't make much sense to drive across the river twice, since we've already made three trips (2 vehicles) today. Here's what Corin has done so far today...
6:30 got up and went to the gym to swim, swam for 40 minutes
Went to Starbucks, Lowes, Home Depot and got gas
Went home, got Luke dressed and took him with me to rehearsal (he adores child care here). Jr. was already here and Mrs. met us here.
After rehearsal Jr. and I went over the state fairgrounds (also Richmond Raceway). I scored some free rocks that a sister agency used for their fair exhibit. Got about half a truck load.
Jr. and I went in search of a battery and a strap for his camera. Went to Walmart, Target. Finally found the battery at Radio Shack, but no camera strap. Will go to an actual camera shop (closed today) later.
Went to a craft store and got supplies for Luke's pinewood derby car.
Came home, unloaded rocks.
Got the tire on Jr's car and jump started it. Good news is that it started right up. I was skeered it had been sitting too long. Charge didn't hold, but we got it moved so he can keep workin' on it.
Mowed the front yard.
Snarfed down dinner and got here a bit late.
What? Tired? Who me?
Jr's team lost again last night. We played a team where three of his buddies from youth group, so it was actually cool to see them play. Twin brothers make a great combo on the field.
Heh...after one of their touchdowns, the woman sitting next to me said "Does ~HE~ go to your church too?"
Jr's getting discouraged though. Coach is playing the same 12-14 players the whole game. They play offense, defense AND special teams. He puts the 2nd string in with 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It would be different if that was actually a winning combo, but it's not.
Not sure there's anything to do. Talkin' to the coach would only make things worse for Jr. Wife did corner the asst. principal last night who was pretty clueless. But she's not gonna let this one go...
