Welcome!!!

"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...

...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...

...You, me, them, everybody..."

"…You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress…because it’s so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please…"

"any pie and coffee left?"

You'll have to forage for crumbs and stains left on the floor.

That's ok, I'm sipping on a diet coke.

Say, I got a kick out of your Friday cartoon. Good job.

Doing well, thank you.

On another thread someone suggested hiring a band to follow Cindy Sheehan around and every time she spoke, the band would play, "Stars and Stripes Forever."

That's such a clever idea.

"Me too, a well written book would leave the rest to imagination. I've read "those" types of books before, I just feel like I'm invading in someone's "private moments". I also wonder how the author's can face friends and family, I'd be too embarassed. Some things are better left unsaid."

Even the description of the wedding night in The Flying Cavalier was tastefully done:

That night as Noelle was lying in the bed, Lance came to her, took her in his arms, and said, "You may get tired of hearing this, Noelle, but I love you probably more than a man should love a woman."

Noelle was wearing a gleaming white satin gown, and as he lay beside her, she felt a glow of possession. "How could a man love a woman too much?"

"I don't know," he said. He kissed her and then whispered, "If I have you, I have everything."

Noelle returned his kiss and then put her arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. Tears came to her eyes, and she whispered, "I hope you'll always feel that way, sweetheart."

End of account.

Well...it's still early, but I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open already. See everyone tomorrow, perhaps!

You consider 11:18pm early? I must be getting old.

It is early for me too. I only get maybe 3 or 4 hours a sleep each night

Different time zone. ;-)

Truthfully, though, I have trouble staying up much after ten. Sad, isn't it? I'm just not a night owl.

It's a strange attitude to take. Sending flowers childish?

I thought that, too. It was hard being friends with her after that when I realized she was so petty.

"Drinking a diet coke here too lol"

Blecch. Only real coke for me. Or maybe vanilla or cherry. Lime is okay.

That explains it. I used to be a night owl; in college I could stay up all night long without any trouble whatsoever. It's only been 6 years since graduation, and I can't do that anymore!
