Yep, I am going to say it. No girl is going to drop out of the sky onto your doorstep. You have to go out and make an effort. First, concentrate on making friends. Then let things happen naturally.

True. I do not even know how to go about making friends. The few friends I had all came to me.

See, that's a hard thing. I'm not interested in anyone at church. Then at jobs...most of the people I've worked with were kind of scum. Dropping out of the sky, well, that would make things a lot easier on my part.

I can believe it. I have made four of the best female friends I have on line. I have met three of them in person and hope to visit the fourth after Christmas.

Me too.

I was always kind of awkward socially, but I didn't really become a loner until my junior year in High school. The first day of school that year, I looked around, and all my friends were gone. They had moved, or made new friends, or whatever. It was never the same after that.

I went to be homeschooled because I never got along with anyone at public school and the staff were utter scum (to my luck at the time or parents would not have pulled me out).

You should probably have your alarm on whenever you are home if you live in a city.

I live in the country. My daughter and son-in-law live behind me, but they can't see anything up here. I don't own a gun. However, I do have a great big doggy that looks like a wolf if he gets mad. Do you have a dog? BTW, my dog Harm loves children and would never hurt them.

What a terrible experience. I hope that you have found a new church where people are truly welcomed.

I was public schooled, from kindergarten to grade 12. And it was miserable every step of the way.

Call me a wimp, but I must be going. Church services wait for no man.

You and Paul are so much like me, only a lot younger. I hope you do not have to go through the same kind of things I have, where women are concerned(as in being considered a "pariah", by most of them).

Just be careful, Paul. If you try any other those on line dating sites, be careful. Go to a Christian one. I had some awful things happen when I tried Match.com and a couple of others. There are some weird people out there.

I am sorry to hear what you went through. I am well aware of the risks but I don't want to be alone my whole life. Dont give up.
