WOW. It helps to know I am not completely alone regarding that. I know there are other people who are lonely, your situation and mine are even rarer.

On-line friends are the best thing since sliced bread. You can chat with someone, without all the hassle of nervousness, socializing, etc.

She needs to see a psychiatrist. No one else could help here because she would not listen. When she hits rock bottom she will have to get help. I hope she does before that happens.

No. My husband had two guns, but they scared me and I had him get rid of them. Now that he is dead, I wish that I still had them, although it is a relatively safe neighborhood. (Not that I would know how to use it either though, I only have shot a bb gun). I do have a Brinks security alarm, I usually only set it when I go to bed, but maybe I should go turn it on.

I got out of college more than 2 years ago, and I haven't really socialized or had friends since then. There was someone I'd chat with a lot at my pizza job, but we never went anywhere or anything. I'm content to stay in my lair.

Ok, Paul. You need to figure out why your morale is at an all time low. You are not going to project the right image to anyone if you have low self esteem and low morale.
Work on that before you try to find a girl. Then you will do just fine.

Been there,done that.

Mine, was with a girl at the church i used to go to.

I tried for nearly 9 years to strike up some kind of friendship with her(people had told me how "decent" she was, and that we would be good together.) Never mind, my mother and sister thought she was ugly, I didn't.

However, she did NOT like to talk to me, or to my mother or sister. She would actually walk away, when I would try to speak to her, or turn and talk to someone else.

In 2002, we had a Billy Graham crusade here. That church was one of the main ones sponsoring the event. I had lost my job that same month.

I was riding in a church bus, and Jamie was there, sitting across from me. However, as usual, she did NOT speak to me.

Then,someone(I forget who) asked how things were going, and I told them about losing my job. NOW-- Jamie acted interested. We talked a little, and I thought" maybe, we can actually begin some sort of a friendship, now".

But no. She got away from me, that night, and did NOT talk anymore to me, even when I spoke to her. This continued, the rest of the year, the few times I spoke to her.

Finally, at Christmas, Jamie came up to the sound booth, and brought Christmas cards for the guys there, but not for me, or one other guy. I asked "none for me", and she just turned and walked away. BUT-- a few minutes later, brought up a card-- for the other guy, and not for me. Needless to say, I decided I was done after that.

That summer, Jamie went to the podium, ans gave a little speech to the church about "how we need to make people feel loved at this church, and not feel forgotten, and we neeed to make sure no one comes in ,and slips back out, without us showing friendship and love. It made me sick.

I left the church a week or two later, after being falsely accused of altering things in the sound booth, after being told not to do so. I think my talk to the son of an extremely rich person in the church , about him not appreciating the value of money, I think that contributed to my exit.

Personally, I'm a gun lover. I would have had a hard time letting go.

I have been getting over a medication reaction that took me to the ER. Nothing serious, just a rash. The medication they gave me for that put me to sleep yesterday afternoon and I slept until this morning except for a brief time on here.

Yeah I never socialized with anyone ever since transferring from regular school to home school in the 6th grade. At least with online friends you are not completely alone. I still have a deep desire for romance and hope to find a nice woman.

Glad I'm not the only one that's happened to.

I've been going to my church since a few months after I moved here. I'm not involved with anything there. All the girls my age there are either ditzes or married with kids. I went to the youth group one night. Found it to be a silly waste of time.
