Welcome!!!
"We're so glad to see so many of you lovely people here tonight...

...We would especially like to welcome all the representatives of Illinois' law enforcement community who have chosen to join us here at the Place Hotel Ballroom at this time. We certainly hope you all enjoy the show and remember people that no matter who you are and what you do to live, thrive and survive, there's still some things that make us all the same...

...You, me, them, everybody..."
"
You know people, when you do find that special somebody, you gotta hold that man, hold that woman, love him, please him, squeeze her, please her, signify your feelings with every gentle caress
because its so important to have that special somebody to hold, to kiss, to miss, to squeeze, and please

I can understand that. If my family treated me like that, I would never share anything with them.

I very rarely shared things with my family when they treated me like that.

"Well, what did you say to bring on that kind of look?"
In all honesty...that I really cared about her. "Thank you," she said insincerely, and gave me that look. She was ready to run at any second.
A few days earier, I had seen her sitting alone on a bench. She didn't notice me. I walked over. Still didn't notice me. She was looking away. I was right in front of her, and she still didn't notice. I said hi. She looked up. I asked her if I could sit with her. She said yes, and I sat and tried to converse. It wasn't easy. Mostly, she just acted uninterested in anything I was saying.
I kept desperately trying to get her to be interested in the things I'd say, to really listen to me. It was a lost cause even from the beginning.

Cool :) Brunettes are my favorite. I especially like the combination of brunette and blue or green eyes.

Well, let me tell you, it happens to us older folks, too. My husband and I fell in love at first site. He mentioned marriage on our second date. I was only 17 (almost 18) and he was 23, so it scared me to death. However, he proposed to me on my 18th birthday. We were married 6 months later and we had a happy marriage until he died 33 years later.
HOWEVER, a year after my husband died I met a man that I thought I was having the same kind of feelings at first site. He pursued me, etc. Turned out all he was interested in was my "money." I am not wealthy. Fortunately, I got rid of him before he took me for very much.
Love at first sight does happen, but you have to make sure that you are clear headed and seeking love for the right reasons.

Dont worry. You are probably better off without her.
You have a lot of talent. I mean that. You DO, and I am sure others here will agree with me.
You need someone who is NOT shallow, and who will appreciate the talent you have and encourage you in that. NOT someone who is only concerned with Ben Afleck, Jennifer Garner, American Idol, Shopping, and so on.

LOL! I don't think I have ever given a strange look to a man unless he was rude or intoxicated or married.

I have never heard of those movies. Maybe that is where you need to start. You live in a big city, don't they have movie festivals or something?

That's just scratching the surface. I went through emotion Hades with this girl more than once...and mostly, she didn't seem to care that I existed. The heartbreak and turmoil was all on my end.
I recently learned that she was engaged. I didn't care.

One is about Queen Elizabeth. The other is the true story about Veronica Franco. They do sometimes up here but not very often.

I'm glad you're a brunette and not a...gray. Okay, I deserve something horrible for that one. But I couldn't resist :)

It sounds like she is a bitter and unhappy woman and wants everyone else to feel that way, too. Pay her no mind. I am enjoying talking to you.

If you feel in over your head with your problems, P, then consider going to a therapist. They can help you sort things out.
