Growing up in Wisconsin... I knew a lot of Mom & Pop operations that were like this.. I feel terrible for them and for the kids exposed to this kind of S*#!.

Why should someone have to worry about what they will be exposed to on the Job... your job should be someplace where at least you know that you have some semblance of normality..

I just see this as a case of a bunch of greedy, immoral, immature adults. Both the NFL players and the "strippers" should be charged with the various crimes committed. I think the NFL needs to look at instituting behavior clause in their contracts.

(AND Before anyone goes flaming me for that comment, if you work for corporate America you are expected to behave in a civil manner at work or anytime you represent that company in public, and yes these guys were representing the team in public.)

Hey you!

Randy Moss and his volunteer work at the Children's Cancer Center at the Mayo Clinic is looking pretty good right now compared to these thugs.

That being said the timing would be great if the could get it all wrapped up by next week so that weekend the Packers will be playing a significantly weaker vikings team. (yeah I am Packers fan.. So if you heard some loud whooping a little while ago it was me.)

And me (another Packer fan).

I didn't figure we'd ever see anything of this scale, but I think the "climate" has been a little hinky since Denny Green was there (and maybe before that).

It will be interesting to watch this play out.

Hey, you! : )

I still can't get the image of him wiping his butt on the goal post out of my head. Don't confuse me. LOL

I was working in sports and covered the NFL Draft the year he entered the NFL. Everyone was on pins and needles, wondering who was going to take him and his problems on. Reporters were trading stories of his tantrums all day.

I guess he wasn't the only one on the team who needed the firm hand of discipline, after all.

I totally agree. And when I hear Mike Tice and his mumbling and excuses and see the players with their grins and no comments I want to hurt someone. It's that kind of behavior that's going to make these young people and their families so angry they go from being quiet with the media and only talking to the lawyers to help out the owners who are in no way to blame, to going ahead and going totally public with what they know and saw.

I admit I'm too close to this particular situation to be very objective but I don't know too many jobs where you are blocked into an area behind the bar by five 200-300 pound football players while they put a "stripper" up ON the bar and proceed to perform oral sex on her in front of you and you can't get past them to remove yourself from the situation.

As a 20 year old young woman who only expected to serve drinks and food I'd say that would be just a bit intimidating and frightening.

Used condoms laying all over the floor after they left was the easy part of the night...

I am living in Arizona now and we have Denny Green here... he seems like a pretty decent guy.. I just think he didn't/wouldn't compete with Randy Moss's ego.

Mike Tice just wants to be one of the boys, and I don't think he has been willing to reel in some of the bad boys... I believe it will cost him his job too..It will be interesting to see how it plays out though.

He's not even close to the only one.

When I see these guys and hear their goody two-shoes stories of how they bought their Mom a house and had such a hard life I'm finding it hard to care.

You point out some excellent examples of the moral decay that has been allowed in society...

You are correct to....What chance does a young 20 year old girl that may at best weight all of 120lbs soaking wet vs. a 250-300 lb athlete.. I cannot imagine them having to sit and be exposed to that kind of disgusting and disrespectful behavior.

Even when I was in the service and going about 250-260lb and decent muscle mass I would not have stood a chance against an NFL lineman.

And I'd bet a nickle that as a serviceman you'd never have considered behaving like this toward a young woman.

You're not a thug.

exactly...

1st... my mother taught me better...
2nd... The military takes in a better class of people then the NFL allows in.
3rd... Woman are much smarter then I am... (ok some are some aren't, but I have more respect for a fellow human being.)

Well, remember when we had Gary Colema...I mean Ray Rhodes in Green Bay (like you'd forget that)? The players were all talking about what a buddy he was to them. I have a feeling that had a direct relationship to how they performed during the brief time he was Head Coach.

LOL!

Bravo for your Mother and the Military.

And I don't know about the third one. If you recognize #1 and #2 then I'd say you're pretty darn smart yourself.

Bud Grant would not have tolerated this.

The Viking should always have a strong-willed head coach, and an outdoor stadium.

After this... it appears Mike Tice's Viking ship is sinking.

BTW... that shoe commercial where Dante Culpepper (aka Twinkle Toes) is doing a celebration dance in front of a mirror is bad. If I were an opposing team, I'd hammer Culpepper with chants of "Twinkle Toes."

Christian youth party cut short(Some revelers had used drugs, alcohol)

A Mississippi River boat cruise for more than 400 members of Woodbury's Young Life group was cut short last weekend after a couple of students were found to have been drinking and using drugs. The incident occurred about 8 p.m. Saturday on the Harriet Bishop, the largest of the riverboats owned by the Padelford Packet Boat Co. in St. Paul. Padelford officials said Monday that alcohol was not available on board. "Whatever they had done, they had done prior to getting on board," said Gus Gaspardo, director of marine operations. "We only had pop available." Off-duty Ramsey County Sheriff's deputies were on board to provide security. Troy Daniels, an area manager for the Woodbury group, said every youth who boarded the boat was screened and patted down. Once police discovered that some students had been drinking and using drugs before boarding, Young Life officials decided to turn the boat around because of possible security and liability concerns, Daniels said. The boat was near shore when the cruise was canceled. Several fights also broke out on the boat, according to Woodbury High School Principal Linda Plante. "It was basically a small pocket that ruined it for everybody," Daniels said. "It was just students that were making poor choices."

What you're reading and hearing isn't even the tip of the iceburg of what happened on those boats.

I did not read that any women were forced to engage in any conduct. No charges were filed by the women.

Men also have to put up with women.

Typical Viqueens antics. Even without Randy Moss they are a bunch of thugs.

The owners should charter a boat, put the perps on it, tow it out to sea and show them what a Viking funeral is.
