Cruise staff talking with investigators; Vikings tight-lipped

Crew members who said they were reportedly confronted with Minnesota Vikings players having a wild sex party with women last week on two charter boats cruising Lake Minnetonka met today with Hennepin County Sheriff's detectives who are investigating allegations of prostitution and lewd behavior.
Stephen Doyle, attorney for the company, Al & Alma's Supper Club and Charter Cruises in Mound, said that some crew members said they feared retaliation from some of the Vikings who were aboard the boats because they reported the incidents to authorities.

The crews of both boats were ordered to return to the company's docks in Mound late that evening after captains on both boats spoke to each other and described similar scenes of sex and drinking unfolding on each boat, Doyle said.
He said that there were about 50 people on one of the boats and 40 people on other. The party was arranged, in part by Vikings player Fred Smoot, Doyle said.

I'm sure they covered the spread.
I wonder if Moss came back into town...
Whether they want to be or not as a public figure you are a role model. These guys failed miserably. Tice will probably be fired and some of these players will probably be suspended (and should be by the team ownership).
That being said the timing would be great if the could get it all wrapped up by next week so that weekend the Packers will be playing a significantly weaker vikings team. (yeah I am Packers fan.. So if you heard some loud whooping a little while ago it was me.)
Last year I thought it was tacky when Coach Tice got caught scalping Super Bowl tickets, and Randy Moss did his endzone antics on network TV. But now, last year's indiscretions don't seem that bad.
Somebody finally gets it.
Thanks MM62
I have my rare moments of mental clarity...:)
"some crew members said they feared retaliation from some of the Vikings who were aboard the boats because they reported the incidents to authorities"
hide in the end-zone, they'll never find you
Pro Athletes do this?
I'm shocked.
LOL.... :)
Excellent point!
Oh... never mind!
Here's the other thread... for the NFL ping list.
"Minnesota Vikings players having a wild sex party with women" will at least it wasnt young boys....
Girly men captains?
I wonder what you'd be saying if it was your 20 year old daughter that had to put up with this?
What you're reading and hearing isn't even the tip of the iceburg of what happened on those boats.
The boat crews are all 18 and over.
They have to be to serve liquor in Minnesota.
The rumors are true.
The hosts/hostesses were between the ages of 18 and 23. The Captains were 25 and 30 approx.
Morally reprehensible is a polite way of saying it.
I appreciate your comments.
Yeah, but when you have one lurking by their cars at the attorney's office you think those young people might be a bit intimidated?
You have a 200-300 lb linebacker and a 20 year old that maybe weighs 110 soaking wet. It doesn't take much to intimidate.
Plus that was the only way I could put it... if i had worded it they way I wanted to, the moderator would kick me in the butt so quick I would have flown quicker then the shuttle on takeoff! :)
Believe me, I've been biting my tongue not calling the sports talk radio stations.
When I hear comments like I've heard the last couple of days I see red.
"It was athletes, what do you expect?"
"Rich white racist suburban kids"
Yeah...working for $6.50 an hour. They're loaded all right.
Then the "strippers" steal the crew's tip money? How pathetic is that?
I seriously feel terrible for the owners. They're the nicest people you'd ever want to meet and are absolutely devastated that these young people were exposed to this. They would have never knowingly allowed this.
LOL
