Was this a record number of innings?
I will say that the rest of the Braves bullpen pitched great for 8 extra innings, but unfortunately so did the Astros bullpen. A game to remember... Longest postseason game in history.
Very happy bump!!!!!!!!
Bobby Cox is a JOKE. He needs to be replaced. 14 division titles, and one World Championship. Ridiculous.
I hope Braves fans stay way EN MASSE down there until the GM realizes that it's time for a change.
And if I was Mrs. Cox I'd be afraid, because she's in real danger of a southern-fried butt whippin'
Go Astros !!!
Go Cards!
I love to see the Braves lose. Has something to do with an idiot named Turner.
I do hope that the Astros beat the Cards, good luck to Houston.
My husband made me watch this game in the last few innings...I rarely watch much baseball, but the hubby said, "Woman, this is history in the making, take a look"...so to shut him up, I did watch the ending of the game...it was pretty exciting, I must admit...
I was born in Chicago, and lived there for the first half of my life...So you know I have got to go with the White Sox, going all the way, and winning the World Series...
Seeing the Braves meet their inevitable October destruction is so satisfying...
Braves fans can take that idiotic and irritating tomahawk chop and choke on it.
Go Astros! From a band-wagon jumping Phillies fan.
What a game!!!!!!!!!! Go 'Stros !!!!!!!!
Waiting right here, Houston.
St. Louis will crush you. ;-)
I was there. Wearing my lucky orange shirt--the 2nd day in a row (I was also there yesterday). I am exhausted--imagine how the players feel. Incredible. There are no words for how awesome that game was.
I was also at last year's NLCS game 5. I thought it was the best game ever. I think it's just been topped.
Way to be, 'Stros! There were so many clutch players--Burke, Berkman, Ausmus, Wheeler, Clemens. Just unbelieveable.
I was hanging on each and every pitch. All 553. It felt like Election Night 2000, but I was prepared to go all night.
I just feel it is the Stros' year. The whole series the announcers talked about the baby Braves, and it took a baby killer B to win it!
That was one hell of a game.
Good game. Thanks to Ted Turner and CNN I always root against the Braves. Move the team out to Waycross and I might change my mind.
