Vietnamese refugee Nguyn Nhi, left, is welcomed by Ronnie Guyer at Los Angeles International Airport on Monday, Sept. 26, 2005.
Sixteen years of waiting for new home finally ended today for 229 Vietnamese refugees, who left Manila on a chartered flight for Los Angeles to join relatives resettled tin the United States. Most of the Vietnamese left their homeland after communists defeated the South Vietnamese government in 1975. (AP Photo/Nick Ut)
SCRAM, Liarliar!!
DU is your hole. Get back to it before the kitties shred you to bits, Liarliar!

So, he called again this morning and set up an appointment to meet with the right someone. He went down there today. Nothing was said about the 72 hour thing and JT didn't bring it up. He found out his unit isn't deployed. (Yea! He can go back to college now. I know, he may be deployed in the future, but not for right now.) His next drill is the weekend of November 4.
He went down in his BDUs as he was ordered at FLW. The person he reported to asked him why he was in uniform. He could have gone down in civilian clothes. That was told him yesterday by the person outside his unit. After thinking about it, however, JT decided to err on the side of caution. It's not wrong to wear BDUs but it could be wrong to wear civilian clothes.
The real good news is that JT has been an E2 since June 1, so he's getting back pay. His signing bonus is being processed now and that will be coming to him soon. He also has been promoted to E3 and that means a raise in salary. Good for him. Shoot, his pay is so good, I might just enlist. Not really.
Anyway, that is the JT update. He will be staying stateside for the nonce. Again, thank you all for your advice.
Thanks for the complement.
-JT
Good news. JT will learn very quickly that things aren't as organized in the USAR as they were while he was active. BTW, out of curiousity, what is his MOS?
We laughed and made jokes about fightingin a well.
