Thank you! Will this be a regular feature?

Here is the deal -- I just got the O.K. from Jim Robinson. However, he has made it known that this is not his cup of tea, and so we had better be on our best behavior.

He wants no trouble from this. None. If there are any complaints of people "trolling or stalking or any other abuses we'll (Jim Robinson and/or the mods) nip it in the bud." He wants it clean and on the up-and-up.

Please do your part to make this a great place to be. Harrassment will not be tolerated. Watch the pics you post, the things you say publicly, and the mail you send privately. If someone doesn't want to talk with you, let it go. We're all adults, let's act like it. HUA?

Starting with me, I'm going to make a special donation to the FReepathon for this. Anyone with me?

I'll ping you tomorrow at 9:00pm EDT back to this thread, and from now on the thread will be titled "Friday/Saturday Night Singles' Ping."

I think that Scott has done that for me.

If the whole group has not been pinged, then I shall do so.

Well I figured that employment might be the problem.....

I wil be looking for a new home state in a couple of years and defintely have considered Montana

I hear the weather can be pretty unpredicable, true?

I"m embarassed to say I have never been into the Bob Marshall altho that's one of the things I would LOVE to do :)

No need to be embarassed, I have never been to the UP here in Michigan!
but you must go, I heard its gorgeous and wild

Did you hear about the Grizzly attacks this summer in Glacier & Yellowstone?

When I was hiking up by Big Sky, I found some older bear tracks
Seeing the size of that print is quite sobering!

I know what his name means.

Obviously, do not dub is a reference to taking a bath. You know, rubba -DUB DUB. He is, in his screenname, asking someone not to take a bath. Maybe it is a person who has never showered before, and only takes baths.

Then we reach the "me" part. In a post-modernist kind of way, this is a reference to the screenname. Me = This is my screen name.

So far, we have "Do not take a bath, this is my screenname..."

But then we reach the final part. "Shapka broham." This is a bit puzzling, but intellectuals like me can deduce it with skill. Shapka broham backwards is "Shapka broham backwards." Therefore this is clearly a case of backmasking, which is a long way of saying "basking." Basking, which is a reference to the sun, and sitting in its path. And you sit in its path to dry off, which leads us back to the very beginning, which involves bathing.

So here's the translation:

"Do not take a bath. This is my screenname: if you do take a bath, you will have to dry off by basking in the sun."

Simple, really.

I was born in the UP. I was transplanted to Virginia, though.

"If someone doesn't want to talk with you, let it go. We're all adults, let's act like it. HUA?"

No problem here. Last time I was on a thread like this, I recognized someone I had chatted with the night before. She responded by snapping at me, and telling me to "grow up." I've been scared to talk to anyone outside one post since.
