We had a girl who was using a Jeep with 4-wheel drive to deliver pizzas. She had to quit because she couldn't figure out why she was spending so much on gas (eye roll time).

I didn't know KFC delivered.

I am sorry to hear that. My parents did the exact opposite. They would never offer any advice or help in that field and refused to even talk about it.

Wow, there's more of us than I thought.

Do you get the constant "You must be spoiled!" everytime you tell someone that for the first time?

Wow... Just the opposite here. Before I went into nursing... I used to do bookkeeping and would contract out to companies to set their systems up on computers. I think I did it in self-defense, actually. My ex would make a mess out of things...then have me straighten it out. When we started our biz....I took over the finances. (I think that was his plan from the getgo) When we divorced... it took him a year to figure out how to balance a checkbook. It's never wise to have one person do everything......as you stated. It's confusing to come into the details at the end of the game. In your case......MAN.......I feel sorry for you having to wade through everything with what you had put on your plate!

LOL! My oldest grandchild will be 15 on Oct. 29. I was 41 when she was born. I am the same age as her friends' parents.

"I was 41 when she was born. I am the same age as her friends' parents."

I would say you are quite young, for a Grandmother.

BTW, read your last Freepmail. Thank you very much. I guess we can just make regular posts for now.

Why was she spending so much on gas? I don't get it. I have a 2005 Toyota Highlander LE 4 WD and it gets excellent gas mileage. (the color is Salsa Red Pearl) ;)

That sounds like a very cool game.

It is. I did not know of the game until 1997 although the game itself came out in 1980. Timeline LTD, the current owner of the game is printing out new 4th edition rules this year and I'd like to score me a copy when I get myself out of the economic funk I'm in. Right now, I'm using Twilight: 2000 rules for the game. With I knew of the Morrow Project in the early 1980's, I would have bought that instead of T$R's (TSR's) "Gamma World." "Gamma World" is too much of a space opera for me, I like a little more hardcore science although I do some "paranormal Art Bell" stuff to spice it up every once in a while. I got most of the info from this site: The Supply Bunker for The Morrow Project.

Ahhhh... Mom thought she had a vested interest in the relationship, eh? *chuckle* That's why she wanted to read the emails, etc. My daughter got on a puter dating site last year while staying with me. I caught myself questioning her about who she was talking to.....(afraid for her safety) When she got agitated with me... we had a sit-down talk. She's a bit naive and I expressed to her how I felt...and related how I go about staying safe... then butt out. (I still worry.....but it's a Mom's perogative!) LOL

I am a big fan of sci-fi. I used to play Heavy Gear (by Dream Pod 9) and Mechwarrior (by FASA). Is this particular game sci-fi?

This was a Jeep made for off-roading.

I had a blue 1985 Chevy Blazer. Got it when I was 15. Had it for 6 years, and it was the only car I ever had. I loved that thing. On the very day I was hired as a pizza boy, I wrecked it on the way home. Totaled. Heart broken. I currently don't have a car. I had to borrow my Mom's Cutlass Supreme for work. I was saving up for a new car, but now I'm unemployed.

Mom was bad, but actually, her friend was even worse. She's a very nosey person. How old is your daughter? Those internet dating places never worked for me.

Yep. It was rough. He did not even have the stocks listed or where they were. It took me 3 years to probate the will. I kept finding stuff at different banks. Those were his IRA's. I put almost everything in the hands of his stock broker. At least I am careful. I put everything in guaranteed funds. Or almost everything. It is growing well, so maybe I won't be out on the street when I am really old. Oh, I am a nurse, too. I am not working, though.

When I went on a computer dating site, my kids threw a fit! They thought I would be murdered. My almost 15 year old granddaughter lectures me constantly about "talking" to strangers on the computer.

My daughter is 25. She didn't like the internet dating either... and got off after a couple months. I think she met two people in that time....and both were serious duds. Now she's dating a guy from work. Since she's working through a temp agency....it's not a bad thing I guess....but I sure wouldn't date anyone I worked with! LOL
