I have not seen Serenity. Does it have a happy ending? I won't go to see a movie without a happy ending. I have enough problems in my life without being depressed over a movie.

Some important characters die, but it essentially has a happy ending. It's an American movie - a dark ending is against the law. ;)

It's time-consuming .... and frustrating at times. I've gotten very bold at asking specifics. There are so many men AND women online who are MARRIED and just playing games.

When I meet a woman in person, I can tell almost right away whether she has an open heart or whether she is a closed, cold, negative, judgmental person (and there are a lot of those around.) Online, it's alomst impossible to do that. You can waste a lot of time exchanging correspondence with someone who is lying about who she is, even if she is telling the truth about her marital status.

So I remain skeptical of the format, but then I live in a major metropolitan area. For those in smaller towns, there may be few other options.

I am so sorry to hear of your husband's death. You are a really young widow.

My husband died April 22, 2001. He was one month away from his 57th birthday and I was two months away from my 52nd.

He owned a business and tax service. I didn't know anything about running the business, so I had to sell it. The new owner kept the name as my husband was very well known here and liked. He had been a banker for 23 years before starting his own business. Now the business is up for sale again. It has changed from when he ran it. :(

I feel the same as you do. I am 56 now. I have only met two men that I thought were the right ones. Both turned out to be disasters. Now I realize I was too vulnerable then. So, I am just waiting for God to show me the way.

It is never too late. I have not totally given up at my age even! However, I must learn to be a better judge of character in the future. :(
