I have not seen Serenity. Does it have a happy ending? I won't go to see a movie without a happy ending. I have enough problems in my life without being depressed over a movie.

I have not seen Serenity. Does it have a happy ending? I won't go to see a movie without a happy ending. Some important characters die, but it essentially has a happy ending. It's an American movie - a dark ending is against the law. ;)

LOL! I hear that I have a southern accent from most folks who are not from the south.
You live in Alabama? My middle daughter lives in Homewood, just outside of Birmingham.

Yes, it is private reply. Did I see that you said that your late husband was a tax accountant? So was mine!

Thank you. I am busy making replies now. An older friend (older than I) said that I should stay out of here again today. However, I love you all. :)

It's time-consuming .... and frustrating at times. I've gotten very bold at asking specifics. There are so many men AND women online who are MARRIED and just playing games. When I meet a woman in person, I can tell almost right away whether she has an open heart or whether she is a closed, cold, negative, judgmental person (and there are a lot of those around.) Online, it's alomst impossible to do that. You can waste a lot of time exchanging correspondence with someone who is lying about who she is, even if she is telling the truth about her marital status.
So I remain skeptical of the format, but then I live in a major metropolitan area. For those in smaller towns, there may be few other options.

I am so sorry to hear of your husband's death. You are a really young widow.
My husband died April 22, 2001. He was one month away from his 57th birthday and I was two months away from my 52nd.
He owned a business and tax service. I didn't know anything about running the business, so I had to sell it. The new owner kept the name as my husband was very well known here and liked. He had been a banker for 23 years before starting his own business. Now the business is up for sale again. It has changed from when he ran it. :(

I have run into some of those mean people, too. However, now I have some friends who come to my aid. You will, too. FReepmail me if anyone starts giving you a hard time. Or, ping me.

I feel the same as you do. I am 56 now. I have only met two men that I thought were the right ones. Both turned out to be disasters. Now I realize I was too vulnerable then. So, I am just waiting for God to show me the way.

It is never too late. I have not totally given up at my age even! However, I must learn to be a better judge of character in the future. :(
