Well, you've found a good place to be, in my humble opinion. FR has been great for me.

"...but a law degree shows a commitment to education."

And I'm still in school. LOL!

I hate to hear that. I lost my father 30 years ago, last July. I was only 7 at the time.(I just turned 38 last Sat.) I know it must be painful, but God will give you comfort, and help ease your pain.

I will agree that FR has been a good place for me too, even though some here are not so nice sometimes, and do NOT know how to encourage others(for example, when hearing about a FReeper having financial troubles, some rich Freepers respond with "I hear Wal-Mart is hiring".) THAT is, to me the HEIGHT of meanness!!!!

I have three semesters to go. I'm limited to two days a week on campus, so it has taken me longer due to the two-hour drive (I'm still full-time, though).

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Rca - sounds like you have had a terrible week. Hope things improve for you soon.

How is your Mom, 30 years later? I can not imagine ever getting over his death, but people keep telling me time will heal. I was 36 when he died, now am 40 and think I am sentenced to a lifetime of pain...sigh.

Yeah I agree. Some people just do not understand that it is not always easy.

You don't have too much longer to go. But it will be worth it.

Thank you. I must say that I REALLY admire you, for taking the stand at your age, for morality and decency. That seems to be all too rare, nowdays. Most guys and girls are more concerned with Ben Afleck or Paris Hilton, or football, to worry about keeping up with things that matter. But not you. You really got your head on straight. Don't worry. Some decent man(NOT BOY), will see you for what you are, soon, and come into your life.

As for me, I think it is just too late.........Besides, I have other things to do, anyway, like prepare my novel to send in for the contest, another possible job to look into, and a "TV run" coming up.
