I agree. Who wants a job that requires seven years of higher education, makes you work 60-80 hours a week at least, makes you the butt of half the jokes in the nation, subjects you to death threats, and doesn't give you nearly the salary everyone thinks you earn . . . especially if you break it down per hour?

Our oldest son, who has the aptitude, won't consider law as a profession. Dad works too hard. Sometimes I wish I had married a plumber, a roofer, an auto mechanic. They work hard, and the laundry would be worse, but at least they could fix things around the house.
