Hate to say it, but I think the Bransens or the Weavers will win. Both work better as teams. The Linzs seem to always make a mistake and it costs them time. Only one time have they snagged the first spot and it is always because of a simple mistake. :(

IIRC, I believe it was the Linzs who got nailed twice by 'production errors' - once by apparently the staff leaving a camera on in their trailer, and another time leaving a camera charging in the car. So their inability to climb to the top for long isn't completely their own fault. But I would inspect every vehicle before I left it to ensure that this never happened again, were I them. On the final leg, that could cost them the million.
I'm just hoping the Weavers go down in flames. Big, roaring, huge flames. (Though I fear that they already won.)

I no longer detest the Weavers--not after last night's ghastly screaming match between the desperate sisters, who became increasingly annoying with every episode. At least the Weavers work well together, and I like the little boy, who manages to stay balanced no matter what idiocy mom and his sisters are committing.
I like the Bransens and hope they win. Linz family #2 with the Weavers coming in third. But we shall see. Is next week the finale? A two hour show?

I was pulling for the Weavers over the Godlewskis too. Ugh, how they were constantly were yelling and screeching at one another drove me crazy! And did you notice that the Wild Bill character and the woman who was helping them both rolled their eyes and shuddered after having to endure the sisters?? They didn't much care for them either, LOL.

Is next week the finale? A two hour show? Yes, I believe so.

Thanks, Dane. I'll be glad to see this one end. Apparently they think that the American Family is only interested in trailer parks.. So insulting.
Maybe next season they'll get back to traveling to interesting places. But of course, only neurotic models and gays would appreciate those. BARF!!

I do not understand why everyone is/was so down on the Weavers. Why? The mother and daughters are a little strange. The boy is adorable. But what have they ever done to any of the other teams? I think they have been treated unfairly by the others. Unless there were incidents edited out of the show, nothing they have done has warranted the all-out assault on them by the rest of the teams.

First place prizes are cheaper too.I agree except for the "gas for life" which is 50 years of gas at $1.200 a year for a total value of $240,000 for the 4 licensed drivers won by the father and three daughters.

(((TAR Finale Ping!)))
Well, Race fans, this it. Three families left, a two hour finale and one million dollars waiting at the finish line :)
It has been my pleasure hosting the thread this season. I've had a lot of fun and I sincerely hope you have too. (Even though the show wasn't very good this time around, we tried to make the best of it :)
Now it's time for a new host to take over.
"A new host???"
That's right, Chris. When the next TAR begins (sometime in February, I presume) I'll be hip-deep in the new American Idol thread. And since I can't walk and chew gum at the same time, I must give the Race hosting duties to someone else.
DJ Paolo: "I wish I was a thread host."
Mama Paolo: "Yeah, and I wish I was the Queen of [bleeping] England."
So if you're interested let me know and I'll forward the TAR ping list to you.
In the mean time ...
Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah! And go Linzs! :)

Remember, everyone -- be witty since I will be checking back i 3 hours after TAR airs here in Denver.
I really miss our realtime discussions.
And I am going to miss realtime when AI starts too :((

Thanks for the ping. May the Linzes beat the Weavers, and if that fails, may the Weavers be struck by lightning at the finish.

Hi, again :)
We have to suffer through the obligatory flashback now ...
To: silent_jonny
I am in Denver until the Spring Thaw.
My usual luck -- sent to Texas for the summer and Denver for the Winter.
Last week was so cold my bones still hurt.
