As a resident of the Gulf Coast who was spared major damage when Katrina veered east but was without power for two days; who will not be hit by Rita but is listening to tropical storm force winds from Rita whipping across my roof; and who is facing the prospect of the suburban to rural community that I moved here to enjoy becoming much more urban as we absorb people who move out of New Orleans; I greatly appreciate a little light relief and the prospect of someday having hockey on TV again.
