Draw Manga, my latest book was released today. A couple of reviews are already on the Net. My sincere thanks to all of you out there who encouraged and otherwise helped me write it. I couldn't have done it without you.

Did you self publish?
I am in the process of doing the same thing, and was curious about the best way to proceed.
(I don't write about manga though...)
Any copies available direct from the author? My daughter is heavily into this, and an autographed copy sounds like a very nice Christmas present.

Although I have published my own stuff in the past, this book is not self-published. The publisher is Collins & Brown, an imprint of UK multimedia giant Chrysalis. Thanks to their marketing power, the book is available worldwide (in French as well as in English). You can order it online or buy it at your local book shop.
Good luck and have fun with your self-publishing project! It's a worthwhile pursuit.

Is it suitable for a house with small children? I've picked up "how to draw" manga books before (big shoujo fan, me), but they were all a little too...how shall I say...bouncy-bouncy to have lying around the house with a curious four year old around.
I'll show your book to my son, who is interested in Manga.

Some of us remember drawing manga when manga wasn't cool. (I self-published for a few years in the late '80s, selling mostly at one-day comic and Trek cons. It never even paid for my materials, let alone the rent.) It's great to see the art form finally maturing here in the states! Keep 'em coming.
