Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney Split (4 month "marriage" over)
IMDB ^ | 9/16/05

Renee Zellweger and Kenny Chesney have split - just four months after marrying in the Caribbean. The couple shocked fans when they announced that they'd wed on May 9 in a sunset ceremony on St. John in the Virgin Islands before 35 close family and friends. It was the first marriage for both. No further details about the couple's split have been made available, but People magazine reports that they're having their marriage annulled.

Unfortunately for Zellweger, fellow Texan Dr. Phil McGraw's summer prediction that her marriage to Chesney would last just four months has been proven right. At the time, she hit back, "To come home from getting married and have that guy setting the betting table in Vegas at three months or four months or whatever it was... I'm not so worried about what Dr. Phil thinks."

The couple met at the January 15 Concert of Hope tsunami relief benefit, where Chesney sang and Zellweger took phone pledges. The first public display of their romance occurred on April 29, just a few weeks before their wedding, when Cold Mountain star Zellweger surprised Chesney in Jacksonville, Florida - bringing him a margarita onstage for his song "When The Sun Goes Down" and kissing him on the cheek. One of Chesney's biggest hits is a song called "You Had Me From Hello," a takeoff on the famous line from Zellweger's breakout 1996 movie role opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire.

I'm still as overwrought with indifference as I was on that thread... :)

Some couples have great sex but its no guarantee of marital bliss.

Yet another liberal treats marriage like a joke.

At least they didn't spawn.

Renee Zellweger.... I've liked her ever since Jerry McGuire. What she needs to do is to meat a real man who can rein her in so can make a few beautiful babies. She's pushing 35 and went with Chesney out of desperation. She should hit the Australia outback or find a good rancher or cowboy here and get the heck out of the HollyWeird spin cycle.

Only problem is I'm beginning to think she's a mega flake who changes her mind ten times a day.The right strong man for her needs to give her direction and provide the decisiveness until she can do it for herself

It lasted 4 whole months? Wow! That is a rarity these days in Hollywierdo society. Most Hollywierdo's barely make it past their "Silver" anniversary (1 Month) and rarely their Golden (2 months) anniversary. But this couple has far surpassed that, getting past their platinum anniversary (3 months) and reaching their gold pressed latium anniversary (4 months) I guess he bought her the wrong gift, or the anniversary party was a flop, causing the break up.

Thats my first thought...All hat and no cattle...Maybe 4 months of dating is not enough time for certain secrets to come out. They just never " seemed" right together.

****

That is a long time in Hollywood. My late mother used to say that celebs change spouses as often as they change underwear.

Biblical Prophecy Ping

Is Dr Phil the new prophetic star?

Seem amazing to me!!

Heard on local radio today that on the divorce filing, Zellweger checked "Fraud" as the reason for her filing.

Fraud as in his sexuality?

I am in the process of writing a song which I hope will enable me to get her on the rebound!
I am married, but I have talked to my wife about this and she wishes me luck!
