do whatever you can to win the wildcard and prevent one of the east teams from making the playoffs. the last thing i want to hear all october is how great the yankees and red sox are and what a great match up the 2 will be.

Do not post that again. Thanks.

Hopefully Wickman can be sharp down the stretch, he has been good but that game he blew to the Yankees with the back to back homers was as bad as it gets.

Good point, and good question. I suspect they used the term "hit for the cycle" in reference to the team's performance just to show how dominant they were for that inning.

Before this season began, I predicted that the AL wild card team would come from a division other than the East. If the Yankees are going to make the playoffs, I think they're going to have to catch Boston.

One of the best things about playing or playoff-racing against the Yankmes is that there's 30 fan bases in the major leagues, and about 29 of them are rooting for your team.

Well personally, I bleed Dodger Blue. But I haven't had much to root for since '88. But I was happy for the Angels and especially Gene Autry even though he had to watch his Angels win the World Series from the Big Diamond in the sky in '02. But I was proud as punch of Mike Scioscia( former Dodger) & the Angels organization take a bunch of "no-names" and win it all through good ol' teamwork and basic baseball fundamentals.

That's actually not a bad description of this year's Tribe. It will be ironic if they can pull it off this year, when the "all star teams" of the mid to late 90s never did.

Randy Winn hit for the cycle just a few weeks ago. That's probaly the last time it happened.

Well you can thank the Angels for sweeping the Sox this weekend and bringing your Tribe 3 games closer.
I'll "keep the lights" on for ya if you make it...
'cause I predict the AL playoffs will come through Anaheim this year.
You'll love it 'cause ya just can't beat the weather in Southern Cali;
that's fer sure! LOL

Red Sox Nation pledges its support for the Tribe to win the Wild Card and the Sox to win the East and for the Yanks to get tee times. Amen.

We will host the Angels in the first round and we'll be fine with Schill back. Only Colon concerns us in the playoffs. See you in October.
