In late spring and early summer we shared our plans and likes and dislikes for summer plans.
Please share with the rest of the table what you did on your summer vacation.
I ate, I slept, I FReeped!!!! Oh, and went to the doctor a bunch of times.
Let me at least vicariously enjoy the summer through the stories of what you all did :)
Coffee's on!!!!!!!!
Coffee's on!!!
I started a business. :) I'm too poor to even pay attention these days, let alone afford a vacation, LOL!
Starting a business takes guts - I know you have them and are going to make!!!
Good morning!!!!
In June, we spent a week in Branson at the first-ever family reunion for my dad's side of the family. It was terrific! My SIL got us discounted tix to Dixie Stampede, and passes to Silver Dollar City. She offered passes to a couple of other attractions, but we ran out of time for those. We stayed at a resort that had a pool, that wasn't any more costly than a hotel room, and had a good time.
In August, I did a mission trip with a group from church to the Dominican Republic. Details and pics at http://grammasheila.blogspot.com/ for anyone who is interested.
I also went to the doc a few times, but the meds are back in balance, so not too bad. Glad your ankle is healed up! Watch out for falling sewing machines!
My hubby was self employed for a while. I kinda know what you're dealing with! All the headaches (and more) of a "real" job, and lots less money. (At least, at first!)
Yep. We're getting there. We've got some big contracts coming up. Luckily, we both like Mac-n-Cheese, LOL! ;)
We rented a beach house at Virginia beach in June and rented a house at a ski resort a couple of hours away for a harescramble dirtbike race, and to celebrate our sons' birthdays with the whole family in August. My sister and BIL in Utah even came in. It was great, though now Evan thinks that we can go to the beach house and birthday house anytime he wants! LOL!
Your trip to Branson sounds terrific. I'll check out the details and pics of your DR mission trip this afternoon. I'm in awe of folks like you who do things like that.
School started this week, so hubby and I are going to get to have our first "adults only date time" this afternoon since before I broke my ankle. I'm so excited!!!!
I like the way Evan thinks!!!!! smart kid ;)
I can be at the beach in about 20 minutes - yet the idea of a beach house, even for a week is SOOOO appealing.
For variety - try beans and rice! :-)
We raise funds, so we don't have to pay for the trip ourselves. I'm always awed by how much support we get! (Usually, we get more than we need, and can make arrangements for more work to be done after we leave. Like the wells that are seen in some of the photos.)
Nothing much..
I just got married :)
How wonderful!!!!!!!
I took my Boy Scout troop on a 50 mile hike over the Knobstone Trail in Indiana.
Good Morning!
We took some little field trips....St. Louis Zoo, blueberry picking in Perryville, stuff like that. Went to the water park 5 or 6 times.
We like Trout Lodge in Potosi, putting off going there until in the Fall.
Had a few barbeques at our house with friends.
Also got all of the kids' checkups done, medical and dental.
Washed and sealed the decks.
Woo hoo, are we exciting people or what! LOL.
I got engaged! ;O)
CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WONDERFUL NEWS!
50 miles? You sure are ambitious!!!!
