AMERICA - The Right Way!! (Day 1691) [Remember the Trade Center!!]
Various News Sources and FReepers | September 7, 2005 | All of Us

Posted on 09/07/2005 4:44:27 AM PDT by Chairman_December_19th_Society

We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail!

Good morning!!

Do not let the victims of the attacks on New York and Washington, nor the brave members of our Nation's military who have given their lives to protect our freedom, die in vain!!

Four people have died as a result of norovirus, an easily spread cause of diarheea and vomiting, caused by infection associated with contact with the contaminated flood waters of New Orleans.

The EPA is testing what, exactly, is in the flood waters, and preliminary results will be available by weeks end.

It is known now, however, that e. coli is present in the water at 450,000 times safe levels.

NOPD officials say there are about 10,000 residents remaining in New Orleans, and those will be removed by force, if necessary.

A makeshift jail has been made at the New Orleans bus station--the first inmate was an individual who drove up to get a bus ticket out of town in a car he had stolen.

Eko-wackos are on their ever vigilant nannyism--scientists are warning about the long-term damage to the ecosystem by pumping New Orleans flood waters back into Lake Ponchatrain (like, where do they want it pumped?)

And the pumping? Three pumping stations are online, of the city's 148 pumps, and each is moving 4,600 cubic feet per second. This is somewhat better than a portable pump the Army Corps of Engineers had been using, which moved 9 cubic feet per second.

Flood waters should be removed in 3 1/2 weeks from eastern New Orleans, and in 2 1/2 months from Chalmette.

The good news is that 182,000 people have been rescued.

For AMERICA - The Right Way, I remain yours in the Cause, the Chairman.

Thanks.

I slept quite well last night. I woke up once, but was able to get right back to sleep. That's unusual.

Abrupt change of subject: Just read that Hillabeast said that SHE would never have appointed that man (Femn's Brown). This from the former Co-President who was responsible for putting Janet Reno and Jocelyn Elders into office.

Strep throat is so serious. I do hope that she is being treated by a doctor and that your other granddaughter does not contract it.

Two of the worst disasters our country has suffered and he's shouldered the burden without biting his lip once!

Ain't hindsight grand. As I recall, the head of FEMA got rave reviews just last year from Florida about how well FEMA handled the four hurricanes, which was unprecedented in Florida history.

Hillary must have forgotten that nearly one month after Hurricane Floyd, her husband's FEMA director still hadn't provided trailors or housing for those made homeless from the storm. He came under a lot of criticism.

Yes. I kept her on Tuesday (along with the younger one). She was running a fever and her mother took her to the doctor yesterday morning. They are being kept apart and no drinking after each other, etc.

I hope the younger one avaoids it, because she tends to get really sick with any ear/nose/throat thing.

Exactly. Good morning, Peach. To continue my metaphor of Hercules cleaning out the Augean Stables. Unlike Hercules, President Bush does not have all the manure in one place and must clean up the messes simultaneous.....while the MSM continues to defecate. (Sorry for the unpleasant allusions but IMO they fit the situation.)

I'm watching Fox News right now. They're at a Red Cross shelter in Baton Rouge, LA. Many of the survivors are leaving the shelter. Officials are also thinking that there will be a mass exodus as soon as people receive their $2000 debit cards and unemployment checks.

It's an apt allusion/analogy. Pelosi went ballistic yesterday because she asked the president if he was going to fire the head of FEMA - Brown. The president asked why he'd do that. She said because so much went wrong. He said "what went wrong".

I thought little Nancy's head would spin off the rotation of the earth during her press conference.
