Maybe the MSM is reading our threads?
NBC just broke the Code of Silence.
Praising the Mayor and saying that no town would allow busses in with the people from NO. He stated that no town in NY would let the people in from Harlem either if there was an evacuation.
Despicable, no other word for it.
I love the way they said "NBC News has obtained a copy of the official evacuation plan."
Gee, we're so impressed. We've been reading it for THREE or FOUR DAYS!
NBC News, behind the curve, but catching up to people with internet access!
We've seen the school buses, except for the one that went to the Astrodome anyway, courtesy of our man, Jabbar. However, we are constantly reminded of the lack of cars because people can't afford them, etc., which means there must have been any number of city buses, too. Where were they?
My theory is they first attacked the President but that didn't get the response they hoped for so now they will begin to actually report on what happened.
Peter Mulhern has a great line on the Lee Rodgers & Melanie Morgan Show on KSFO (SF) this morning.
He made the point that this same mayor and Democrat Party machine of New Orleans have had no trouble whatsoever efficiently rounding up all the old, feeble, disabled and indigent people of NO, putting them on buses and taking them to the polling stations every other November.
I guess it all depends on how motivated you are ...
"We were pulling drowning people out of the water, it's the ultimate distress and human suffering ... dead bodies," he told GMTV.
Penn said he had spent nine hours on Monday searching the water for people and during all that time he saw just three boats carrying US officials.
"There are people that are dying right now and I mean babies and old people and everybody in between - they're dying. There are people dying and (the US government are) not putting the boats in the water, I think that's criminal negligence. I don't think anybody ever anticipated the criminal negligence of the Bush administration in this situation."
The US authorities were also castigated by British bus driver Ged Scott, from Wallasey, Merseyside, who was on holiday in the New Orleans area.
He stayed in the Ramada Hotel during and after the devastation with his wife, Sandra, and seven-year-old son Ronan. At one stage, Mr Scott, 36, had to wade through filthy water to barricade the hotel doors against looters.
He told the Liverpool Daily Post: "I couldn't describe how bad the authorities were. Just little things like taking photographs of us, as we are standing on the roof waving for help, for their own little snapshot albums.
"At one point, there were a load of girls on the roof of the hotel saying 'Can you help us?' and the policemen said 'Show us what you've got' and made signs for them to lift their T-shirts. When the girls refused, they said 'Fine' and motored off down the road in their boat." ~~~~~~~~~~~ anyone feeling inspired? ~~~~~~~~I actually hadn't heard THIS claim.......
Well Hot Damn Dora!
Nice to know they got a ticket for their own clue bus.
I think they had to. Most Freepers have forwarded that photo all over the world. That photo is showing up in everyone's e-mail as they go back to work.
School buses can't be moved without an engineer, a fireman, a brakeman and a signalman in the crew. Young guys who use keys and drive an excessive number of people to houston are risking a catastrophe.
Bush probably had the bus keys hidden in Crawford.
NBC had no choice but to air the truth about the flooded, unused and ruined, vehicles that will be the Prosecution's exibit one in the trial of an American Mayor who may have murdered mnore people through his incompentence in just a few days, than Saddam Husien managed to do in his entire lifetime, on purpose.
The mayor of New Orleans stepped off the reservation the other day and put some of the blame on the governor, a fellow Democrat. The mainstream media is now punishing him for that transgression. They are making an example of him, so that other Democrats in the future will think twice before they get out of sync with the party line.
LOL! Too little, too late however.
