Just what government rescuers were saying this? Sounds like cops in the motorboats as the woman stated. Doesnt sound like US Coast Guard rescuers, more like locals effing around. But I think this couple is full of crap.

As proof of how right you are, here's another "account", from one of the English survivor, found at the end of the article: "The guests were finally rescued by Louisiana game wardens, who entered the hotel with rifles and fixed bayonets."

To be charitable to the survivors who lived through hell, it is obvious at least a false memory caused by the extreme stress and confusion they lived through. Newsmax (as they often do) merely passed on what BBC News was reporting.

I think BBC knew it was crap, but reported it because it was useful to their anti-American agenda... and Newsmax did the same because it was useful to their anti-Liberal agenda.
