Radio Factor: O'Reilly says Chertoff blew it big time, must go: "He's gone"
bill oreilly ^ | Sep 5 05 | O'Reilly

On the Radio Factor today, Bill O'Reilly didn't spare anyone - except maybe the NO mayor. He says Gov Blanco was unprepared, Bush was slow, and Chertoff was a disaster and must be canned.

Unfortunately, O'Reilly will probably get his way. It's not fair - but it's political reality.

It's tragic because Chertoff would be an outstanding leader in the event of a 9/11-type attack. Dealing with a hurricane on the Gulf Coast is not his forte, and it's a distraction from his most critical national security duties - safeguarding the country against foreign and domestic enemies.

Sharpton and the other libs need to face facts

Mayor Nagin killed thousands more poor black people by his inaction in the 48 hours preceding the storm
than
Bush killed by his supposed inaction in the 48 hours after the storm

I wonder. How many heads rolled after 9-11? I can't think of a single one except perhaps for Tenant, and the reasons for his fall were complicated.

we are not to discuss any thing the feds may have done wrong as they default is to assume Feds=Perfect & State/Local=TOTALLY WRONG

LOL. That's about the size of it, isn't it? I suppose this theory is a mutant offspring of that strange animal called Big Government Republicanism.

"America is a strange country. All of its best generals are journalists," quipped Defense Undersecretary Douglas J. Feith

It really has nothing to do with it. Lots of people are dead because of malfeasance by local officials. We have the government we have, weather you or I agree with it or not. Would you like a larger government? At least what we have requires local competence and there is none.

My understand is that it is OK to blast the idiots at the state and local level but (according to some) we are not to discuss any thing the feds may have done wrong as they default is to assume Feds=Perfect & State/Local=TOTALLY WRONG

no feds not perfect... but they did the job they were supposed to do. The city and state screwed up big time... there is a management plan, that they ignored, because they were stupid, incompetent shyster wind bags that don't know how to "DO ANYTHING"....

they are just filler in the organization charts that are worse than useless during a crisis.

If you are able to ....YOU tell me how you'd pre-position resources, delivery, resupply for an entire city that is under water...without taking resources from the other devastated areas??? Not knowing where the hurricane will hit and how hard it will hit makes the second guessers a bunch of idiots.

liberals are so frickin stupid that they think life is like a movie... well guess what, you can be stupid and lazy (which are different) and you can even rise to a position or level of incompetence like Nagin or Blanco... but during a life threatening crisis, people will die and that's just what happened.

I haven't seen that much crying and soiled underwear since the hospital nursery had a diarhea epidemic.... Gawd they looked PATHETIC!..... and if I see one more crybaby leader I'll scream. I made sure I showed my kids the video of the President of Jefferson parish.. whining and crying... my 14 year old daughter said,"why didn't his friend get a boat and go find his mother?"..... I loved it.. it was one of those Golden Opportunities that life provides... "Because honey, he's either making the story up...or his friend is so lazy that he let his momma drown. That's what Democrats do....(my wife elbowed me hard) "...

My daughter said, "gee, he's such a..... woman..".... hahahahahahahahahaha. We lived 14 days without power and water during Hurricane Charlie last year.... we cleaned up, stayed at the house and helped our neighbors... all 4 of the kids learned an example of getting up and taking care of yourself....

None of the critics knows d#ck about logistics, and the talking heads are just selling commercials.. BOR is like "Foghorn Leghorn".... he knows he's the big rooster, but at the end of the day..... he's just another blabbering head on the one of several hundred cable channels and couldn't 'produce' or make anything of value to society other than passing air past his vocal cords...

O'reilly knows how to blow it as well as being a blow-hard. I hadn't watched him in months but had put him on few times to hear what he had to say about 'Mother Sheehan' and Katrina. His stupid suggestion that oil companies give up 20% of their profits and now his fire everybody shouts refreshes my memory as to why I turned him off. His poll question about grading the authorities response is so vague that no insight could possibly be drawn from it.

I went through Agnes in PA in 1972. It hit in the beginning of June. The federal money arrived in mid August. What is the problem?
