DEAUVILLE, France (AFP) - Pierce Brosnan lobbed sharp criticism at President George W. Bush for his environmental policies and his handling of the hurricane catastrophe in the United States.
"This man called President Bush has a lot to answer for," the former James Bond actor told journalists as he presented his latest movie at a French festival of US film in this Normandy resort town.
"I don't know if this man is really taking care of America," Brosnan said Saturday.
He was responding to a question about the Bush administration's response to Hurrican Katrina, which has wreaked massive destruction and loss of life in the southern US.
Bush has been accused of reacting too slowly and not bringing enough federal aid to bear on the chaos, which many people fear may be linked to climate change.
Bush and his officials have refused to sign up to the Kyoto protocol which aims to reduce greenhouse emissions believed to be behind climate change.
"This government has been shameful," Brosnan said.
The outburst revealed a rare moment of passion for the actor, who had been fielding questions mostly about his new film, "The Matador", and about his career now that he has refused to play in any more James Bond films.

Boycott The Matador. What a sorry loser this Brosnan has turned out to be.

Oh really, Mr. Brosnan? And how would you know sitting there in a luxury hotel in France drinking champagne and eating caviar while thousands of Americans toil in an etremely difficult if not impossible environment to do the REAL work of rescue?
And what business is it of his, not being an American citizen and yet deriving a great deal of his huge income from the United States movie industry and audiences to issue derogatory denunciations about something he knows nothing about except from the TV news?

...the former James Bond actor...You, 'Pierce', are no Sean Connery and you sucked at being "Bond...James Bond".
These dipshit actors floor me (as in ROTFLMAO) with their pompous and uninformed crap spewing from their pieholes. What a bunch of asshat clowns.

No more of my money for you Mr. Smarty pants. None for Sean Penn, Barbara Streisand, George Clooney, etc., etc., etc., et al. of Hollywood either.
I refuse to participate in the cutting of my own throat by ingrates and traitors.
