Well here starts the new dinasty, (if you forgive last year), and the Huskers seam to be up to the same game plan, 4 out of the five first plays were hand it to Ross and watch what happens. I've seen one pass play that Nebraska has tried amount to anything.
I really, sincearly, hope that they are just trying to hide the rest of the season from the real compition, but seeing more than one pass play end up, well hopeless, I've not much hope.
The one bright note seems to be the defense, the freshman/sophmores seem to be taking up some of the slack, and doing somwhat better than last year, though they should against an offense that changes the quarterback at the drop of the hat.
All in all, color me not impressed.
hmmm yeah you're right.
Can't wait until they lose to Ohio State then :)
TCU has got a damn good QB in Gunn.
Maine has a great hockey team...one of the best programs going.
Well one things for sure it won't be Frank Solich, seems he got a girl pregnant who wasn't his wife, witch was why Osborne stopped defending him almost immediately.
Yes, Nebraska just made a tremendous pass play, ended up 20 yards form the end zone.
Nebraska draws first blood, 3-0.
Can you say sac, I knew you could.
Terrance Nunn runs it down to the one yard line, but it looks like he fumbled it. Nope they rule it downed at the one yard line.
Score nebraska by way of Ross. 9-0 (missed kick)
T. Nunn again an incredable return to the 15 yard line.
See they was just warming up!
Taylor throws to Hardy caught, at the one yard line.
Intercepted, main on the one yard line, now end of the first half 9-0 Nebraska.
I know I was giving crap about how far the mighty Huskers have fallen.
It really is sad...I have always loved the Cornhuskers...growing up watching so many CLASSIC battles against Oklahoma, others. They really are terrible now-playing Maine? What the %^%$#?
Its the same as other teams, they schedule what they think are easy wins years in advance gambling on that their team at that time will be good enough to win. Look at the OU v. TCU game. OU lost a lot of offensive players from last year, so an easy win turned into a hard lose at home.
Yeah...I tried to find a thread that was on FR a little while ago...Nebraska rejected a deal from the University of Houston to play 2 games....couldn't find it in archive.
Ross gain of six past the 35 (1st down), than Malkey for another fist down to the twenty.
Hardy just drops an incredible pass, crap, almost touchdown. kick is good now 12-0.
Defense doing good, Main no Gain.
Anothe feild goal now 15-0.
