That version of the video is missing the beginning of West's tirade. Here's the full version (with Myers comments as well):

Apparently Bush runs Yahoo and all other media outlets, who were the ones who were originally busted for the "looting vs. finding" racist garbage in the first place.

If this isn't a thread for a "Bush's Fault" comment then I don't know what is.

I'm a 50-something Whitie. I was all for the Civil Rights movement in the 60's. I naively thought we'd level the playing field and move on. I was wrong. I see now (have for some time) that the "payback' era will never be over in my lifetime. And I'm getting fed-up! I mean, what's the use in trying if nothing's good or sufficient enough?

Yep, so much for Dr King's vision of judging people by the content of their character, not on the color of their skin.

I don't give to the United Way or The Red Cross. They both gave me a reason. I was reconsidering the RC though due to some comments on FR. Nope. I'll just continue to donate to the Salvation Army and other charities until I find a reason not to.

Kanye West is a rapper who has graced this nation with hits such as "Graduation Day." I will not post a direct link to that filth, but you can do a Google on Kanye West lyrics and see what a magnificent talent this guy is. /sarcasm

MDA telethon to appeal for hurricane relief
Sat, Sep. 03, 2005

LOS ANGELES - Comedian Jerry Lewis announced this week that his annual Labor Day Telethon benefiting the Muscular Dystrophy Association will also feature celebrity fund-raising appeals for the relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

He also announced that MDA will donate $1 million of its funds to help victims in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama

Ass and Class.

1) Who is Kayne West?

2) What are his/her qualifications for getting in front of TV camera and commenting on natural disasters and relief efforts?

3) Why should I care what he/she says?

Inquiring minds want to know who this motor mouth is

It is human nature to look for a reason NOT to give.

Oh, I can imagine a lot of people figure the federal government is already giving something on their behalf. $10.5B is something like $40 from each man, woman and child in the US, and the President said that's just a "small downpayment."

I don't know who that guy with Meyers is but he was clearly reading a script. Who wrote these lines? They look like hostages giving forced testimony. Something is odd about that video.

Excellent choice...the Salvation Army is the best....in my opinion. The United Way & Red Cross are controlled by leftists.....I have seen it from the inside.

We may not like what he said, but I do not think he is alone is his feelings. A black, female, professional friend of mine said in response to the hurricane catastrophe:

" Once again racecism reared it's ugly head. Had these folks been of another race the devastation would have never have gotten this out of hand. It's so sad but that's the world/country we live in. I feel as a African American I really really have to step up to the plate....if we don't help ourselves noone will."

I have tried to wrap my brain around the racism thing and immerse myself in cross cultural communication.... it's not the most encouraging place to be, but Christ calls me to something higher, so I will continue.

The Red Cross is turning this disaster as an opportunity for an infomercial.

Salvation Army Yes.
Red Cross NO.

They have taken over the SciFi channel and it is just absurd. I expect them to start giving away ginsu knives with the donations.
