Matt Lauer made a comment gently rebuking it at the very end of the show. Very mild but they did address it.

How hypocritical of NBC - the network that had a collective cow because Dale Earnhardt Jr said in Victory Lane at Talladega last year - 'That don't mean s..., Daddy won 8 times here.' They wailed, gnashed teeth and instituted a ten second delay they obviously forgot tonight.
I emailed them and reminded them of that.
Apparently it's OK to accuse the President of being a racist but not OK to say the s word. Got it....
I don't see color when I see people suffering as a result of this - I see AMERICANS. Period.

"It would be most unfortunate," the statement continued, "if the efforts of the artists who participated tonight and the generosity of millions of Americans who are helping those in need are overshadowed by one person's opinion."
