some rapper punk or whoever was just on trying to get people to donate money to the red cross. He was on with Mike Myers (Wayne's World). Mike Myers asked people to donate...then Kanye West went on a tirade about Iraq, Mike Myers said something else, and then Kanye says "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!"
WHAT A FREAKING OUTRAGE!!!!!!!!!
i JUST CALLED THEY WONT ADMIT THEY ARE WITH NBC
Ig them, Girlfriend!
And don't make me GO there! (I'm too OLD for this stuff!)
I thought I was hip to public figures but I have never heard the name Kanye West...is he/she related to Togo?
Now him I remember...oneof the good for nothings in the Clintoon mis-administration.
Thanks!
I calls 'em as I sees 'em!
GAH!!!! I have NEVER liked Mike Myers, and now, I understand why....thanks, you! ;o]
LOL, they make my blood boil for sure.
I remember those riots - I was only 12-13 at the time, it actually scared me even at that young age at how quickly society can disintegrate, I believe that no excessive use of police force (in reference to the terrible thing that happened to Rodney King), hurricanes, tsunamis, earthquakes etc. - none of them can bring a civilization down, the destruction of Pompeii did not bring down Rome (it lasted another 400 years in fact), it is the crumbling social structures from within a society that can do that - seeing what I saw on TV all week, Western Civilization has only a few decades to go....
Sorry for getting a bit heavy there, ladies!!
I think that we all have had enough of a look at the "hip hop" thug culture over the past several days.
(Smiling behind hand: I see Darksheare's Typso Demon is alive and well....)
"Kanye West" has that hang-dog look that screams "poor me!"
HELP!!! (Stop me before I slap the taste right outta his mouth, OK?)
LOL!!!
I just listened to Al Sharpton blame this on Bush for not fixing the levee system. How long has New Orleans been under sea level under this levee system? It didn't just happen during the last 5 years. Ridiculous.
I would have no problem with NBC whatsoever if they had just said this during their broadcast. If they had just given this simple disclaimer it wouldn't have left people with the impression that NBC and the Red Cross really didn't have much of a problem with spreading lies about the troops that are risking their own lives to save these people. And perhaps they could've gone the second mile and apologized to all the relief workers and their families. If someone wants to Bush bash that's nothing new (even though it's insensitive timing), but to complain about the military shooting at snipers that are blocking the relief effort is so far beyond repugnant that all those involved with this show should be feeling the need to apologize profusely.
Don't worry about small stuff, Irish.
I was in the middle of it (the Crenshaw District in LA), and though I had a .357 and knew how to use it, I hoped I wouldn't have to. I had no phone and no car at the time, so it was VERY scary for me.
I had gone for a job interview at LAX that day, and "something" told me to forget the interview and go home. I did.
I walked in the house and turned on the TV and the rest is history.
;o]
KNBC in Los Angeles allowed all the comments by West to air in the tape delayed broadcast except the "GEORGE BUSH DOESN'T CARE ABOUT BLACK PEOPLE!" comment.
Hmmmm...."Black People Don't Care About Black People!"
Yah...say, Girl...at the risk of sounding precocious, would you like to be on my ping list? It's actually for the Undead Thread, but if I'm someplace that looks good, I have no shame...;o]
(Thanks for being you!)
Feel free to ping me, MF. Thanks so much.
You got it!
