Take a good look at what's going on in New Orleans. It's a good example of what society and civil order becomes under democratic rule and liberalism.
You guys should be ashamed. Real ashamed.
You guys should stop trying to blame President Bush for your failures.
Also, I hope you guys are real proud of the pitiful excuse for a mayor of New Orleans. He's spent more time effort and energy blaming everyone else with hopes that no one would question the real problem which is his lack of leadership.
Hang your head low. You have embarrassed our country again.
Now go back to DU and cry on each others shoulders as you usually do.
I hope some will get it, but it looks like it's still Bush fault for everything...
Just heard a guy on WABC talking about how the environmental whackos prevented the Army Corps of Engineers from executing a flood control layout that would have probably saved the city from the flooding it is currently experiencing.
The people of New Orleans thank you, leftists.
And Their DUMBOCRAT Governor is just as INCOMPETENT as MAYOR NAGGING is.....:^/
Death and misery always serves their purpose.
I don't know -- this is asking alot of DU members to comprehend....takes a pretty high level of intellect to grasp!!
Oh, how I wish I had heard that! Do you remember the guy's name or any of the details? I hope he shows up elsewhere.
Time to ship these dirt bags off to Cuba or other socialist paradise!
It's true. The Left made it political first so I will give my two cents. The violence we are seeing in NO is the step child of modern liberlism. "If it feels good, do it." used to mean drugs and consensual sex - now it means rape, murder and pillage.
Maybe you should have used the ample supply of school busses available on Friday and Saturday.
And best I can tell we have not yet been able to determine your wearabouts on Friday. What party were you at Mr. Mayor?
Well, the environmentalists should be happy.
They've finally got their way in New Orleans, where the local citizenry is now demonstrating the joy of living without those evil global warming fossil fuels.
I don't know about you, but I intend on writing a strongly worded letter to the White Star Line about all of this
Absolutely correct.
The Lousiana political culture, with its emphasis on payoffs and graft, could not grasp the necessity to plan ahead and encourage the kind of investment that could lead to a vibrant business economy, a sound educational system, and state investment in infrastructure.
The people of NOLA have paid the price for decades of graft and corruption going back to Huey Long.
Be Seeing You,
Chris
Liberals will never get it. It takes too much courage, confidence, and most of all brainpower. They have surrendered these competencies over, in return for the entitlement of unlimited access to the federal teat.
Are there any threads documenting what kind of swill is being emitted from DU? Rush says that what happens on DU doesn't stay on DU - it makes its way into MSM and RAT politicians mouths after a few days. The race card was played today - it was undoubtedly in play on DU from the git go.
"Do you remember the guy's name or any of the details? I hope he shows up elsewhere."
Just google Army Corps of Engineers, Environmental Impact Statement Lake Pontchartrain lawsuit (adding or subtracting a word two). You will find a wealth of info.
Just go search DU. You will be amazed (actually not, it is expected).
This will mean that the DU kool-aid drinkers will have to look in the mirror and see themselves as they truly are - savages ruled by fear, envy and hatred.
Won't happen.
The breakdown in civilized behavior that is now seen in NO, is the inevitable fruit born of "liberal" presuppositions. Selfish, entitled, impatient, impious, envious, and angry.
