You're 100% correct... that's why Bush will be blamed.

"... that's why Bush will be blamed."
The same number who voted for Kerry (or liked Kerry, but stayed home and played video games) will blame Bush. The same number who voted for Bush will not blame Bush. Either way, he's not up for reelection so any blame that they can drum up shouldn't hurt him. In fact, it could be that the country will be so engulfed in finger-pointing that all the side-items that Bush wants to get through will actually get through (for example, Roberts' confirmation). Also, the stunted Peace Movement and their queen-sow Sheeman won't get any airplay, and this will drive them to new levels of raving lunacy as nobody pays attention. Meanwhile, jobs are up, the economy is growing, it looks like something will finally done to address the energy/cost problem - that or see our country fall apart - and we just had 1000 Shiites give their approval for the Iraqi constitution, along with some general pro-American sentiments and shows of support. New Orleans is facing its greatest test ever, and soon enough the heroism and intelligence will creep back. It'll be a great rebuilding, and remind us all what it is to be a rugged individualist.
