Can a storm be manipulated? Of course it can - by pundits. We have now seen a solid week of it.

i think you have every right to be paranoid. There are certain projects capable of playing tempest to the earth. One is the HAARP project, solely designed to manipulate the Ionosphere with High-Frequency radio waves.
http://www.haarp.alaska.edu/haarp/haarpFactSheet.html Others seem to have the same theory and are coining it as "Scalar Weaponry". This is probable to what you are claiming.

" Weather modification is possible by, for example, altering upper atmosphere wind patterns by constructing one or more plumes of atmospheric particles which will act as a lens or focusing device. ... molecular modifications of the atmosphere can take place so that positive environmental effects can be achieved. Besides actually changing the molecular composition of an atmospheric region, a particular molecule or molecules can be chosen for increased presence. For example, ozone, nitrogen, etc., concentrations in the atmosphere could be artificially increased...

Don't know. Wouldn't surprise me though if governments have examined and tried to make a weapon out of the weather, but most likely it is fantasy.

Russia can control hurricanes, but they didn't send Katrina at us. They know we will unleash our earthquake machine if they break the Art Bell Treaty of 1973.

Can a storm be manipulated? No, but morons can. Doing a show like this is trivializing the situation, in my opinion. Normally Noory would say to himself: "OK, I have hoagland on tonight. I know he's always full of shit, but he's entertaining..." But what in hell was he thinking in regards to this crap?
To: doug from upland
If it can be done the only ones who could do it would be the Russians.

There is a hell of a lot of military research into the area of weather manipulation. I doubt they could do anything like this though. The only known weather manipulation I know we can do is to fly airplanes into clouds and induce rain where were want it.

Hoagland sucks, but the other guy on is pretty solid. I heard him on with Art awhile back talking about nanotech. Also look at this article:

Interesting reading, even if you think they're all crazy. (And they just might be!)

By definition, anyone who said the storm was manipulated was not a "scientist."
What posesses people to listen to this show? It's not all people who do for the humor value, unfortunately.

Its amazing how they can only create a hurricane during "hurricane" season.

if your local library has ebsco databases, or proquest or what ever, do a search on "weather modification"

Here's a link to a document that I found a while back. This is HTML, and the page has a link to the PDF.

Weather as a Force Multiplier

Doug, it's amazing. I just got home from a barbecue, flipped on KFI on the computer, and heard a woman asking if this hurricane could be manipulated, could the tsunami, too, have been manipulated. And she was given a decent hearing.
This is insanity.
Art Bell needs to take hold of the Coast To Coast franchise. Now. Noory, in his complete cluenessness, has allowed C to C to become the house organ for all of those who believe even an act of nature is "Bush's Fault."
The program has become all but unlistenable for all but the moonbats.
Noory has become the Cindy Sheehan of late-night radio.
