Is Conservatism Only About Sex?

In the past month, I have seen a shift in Free Republic that makes me wonder if there is a coup d'etat going on.

I haven't got a count, but it seems there has been more sex-related posts than in the past months since I started coming here.

There have been threads about the gay life style, sex slaves, sex toys, a guy killed after having sex with a horse, numerous porn threads, and more. It is making me sick.

I participated in many of the posts because I felt my input was valuable. However, every time I participate, I feel sickly dirty.

With that, I am taking a break from posting on these themes.

For the record, I believe that healthy sex is between a husband and wife. Anything outside of that is a perversion of God's gift of sex.

Now, for something that may be outside of most people's conservative attitude of sex; I beleive that when Paul wrote that the marriage bed is undefiled, God was giving His blessing on whatever a married couple mutually decides is sex for them, the only caveat being that it involves the two of them and no more.

Well it is a Holiday long weekend, and I did have an odd 1/2 day of vacation time, so I thought it made sense to use it there.

Friday is also my ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY here at FR!!
