In the past month, I have seen a shift in Free Republic that makes me wonder if there is a coup d'etat going on.
I haven't got a count, but it seems there has been more sex-related posts than in the past months since I started coming here.
There have been threads about the gay life style, sex slaves, sex toys, a guy killed after having sex with a horse, numerous porn threads, and more. It is making me sick.
I participated in many of the posts because I felt my input was valuable. However, every time I participate, I feel sickly dirty.
With that, I am taking a break from posting on these themes.
For the record, I believe that healthy sex is between a husband and wife. Anything outside of that is a perversion of God's gift of sex.
Now, for something that may be outside of most people's conservative attitude of sex; I beleive that when Paul wrote that the marriage bed is undefiled, God was giving His blessing on whatever a married couple mutually decides is sex for them, the only caveat being that it involves the two of them and no more.

honestly, i think this is also the so called south park conservative. Personally speaking, sometimes things are so weird/funny that i have to comment. but i do agree with you. maybe there should be a section or a means to filter these out. i am sure not everyone wants to see some of the stuff that has been posted.

Most of this stuff is like watching a really nasty car accident... there's no way any sane person would want to be involved, and the particulars are nauseating, but one can't help but slow down to take a look. Sheer morbid curiosity - "What new way have these freaks found to destroy themselves today?"
Why are you calling Ern a pissant. If you had hyphenated it, it would make more sense, like you were referring to Pissant. Not to be picky, I just thought it was funny.
I agree with you, but Free Republic is open to anyone. I think a lot of these perverted post are from DUers and other lowlifes that try to make it look bad here. Maybe posters should be screened somehow to screen out the scum?
