My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

You're gonna go broke feeding those hogsWe already cut them off at the store. We have a peanut feeder that is a cedar tower with holes for them to grab the peanuts out of. They've started emptying it in under 20 minutes! We used to refill it but no more. Once a day is it for them. Shelled peanuts are expensive.

I've heard them but I've never seen them either. We all have to have goals. :-)

Oh I know about jays, they will clean out anything you put out in no time flat. And shoo the other birds away to boot.

Oh yes. The cardinals. We do miss them out here. I used to love listening to their songs on my porch. I will say I have a tough time selling items with cardinals on them out here. Some folks will say "but we don't have them here". My response is "but they are a beautiful bird, wouldn't it be nice if we did have them?" Go figure.

I was remarking to a customer that it is mostly men that say they don't care for the jays. The customer said that it is because men don't like anything louder and rowdier than them!

God gives us color every day. You quick witted poet!
This is a pic of the violet-green swallow, more beautiful colors. We may not have those beautiful tropical birds but we still have some beauties.
I better stop now or I'll be posting pics all night. I'm thinking of starting a birding blog. LOL. Like I have time. Shame on me.
Good night feather.

The violet-green swallow is the type of bird Sam took care of a few hours after someone dropped a fledgling off at the store. They only eat insects (on the fly) so Sam walked him around the wooded area to catch bugs as he held tight to Sam's finger. LOL. After a couple hours he was able to fly away!
One more and then I'm really going. Some little guy is amazed at this thing called flight.
