[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Inner Fire

Her eyes are closed as passion fills her,
aches her back in that moment of inner fire.
Every nerve in her alive to that moment,
as life courses her like a web of power lines.
Her breath, held as she enters a universe of unknowns,
she moves through star systems only she can see or feel.
Exploding novas of passion burn her, shape her, remake her,
sculpting her body into graceful curves of vibrant silken skin.
And in her slow soul tumbling fall back to this orbit of reality,
she is totally awakened to every burning fiber of her being.
Breath is random as she struggles to find her center,
still turbulent from the shattering of her bounds with life.

Whew!!! . . .
You keep pouring coals on this fire,
fanning the flames of my desire,
with this trains hurling down the track,
the furnace will blow its stack.
Oh heck, who cares?
Just keep on shoveling!!! . . . ;-)

Spotsy's Lament

I mix, I whip, I beat
that batter.
I pour, I wait, I flip
onto the platter.
My slimming pancakes
won't make you fatter.
So I'm a little late sometimes,
that shouldn't matter!!!
Why is everybody always
picking on me?

Yes, I thought, I could not write haiku, but proved to meself that I can.

It's so simple -- I think anyway. I know we always had to write them for composition classes in school.

Choosing the zinger opening or closing word is the key I think.
