[Soaring Feather]

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guide
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and me...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

My Dragonfly and me
are off to see what
we can see...
a star spangled night
Milky Way delight
riding the comet's tail
past falling stars and hail

holding tight to the velvet one
ecstasy in dark folds of space

reaching out to grab time
to watch it filter through
fingertips...star rain
glistening on eyelids
of soft brown eyes
of kindred soul,
karma control

in a space and time
of no day, no night
of Aeolian Harps
in a galaxy far away

watching Aurora Borealis
wave her robes and shake
out her golden hair

oh yes, we will be there...

covering for her brother
the Louisiana Lt. Governor.

Up to the plate steps
Our President, altho', already
carrying more than his share.
"The buck stops here," says he,
I'll shoulder this heavy load,
God has not given me,
more than I can bare,
Please give me your load
I'll can carry it, I swear!

The lawn is green
the grass is growing,
three inches of rain
will cause this scene.

The weeds they've been sowing
their seeds all Summer,
sheesh . . . what a pain!
so, today I've been mowing.

The heat's still a bummer
the last rose is fading,
Autumn's round the corner,
so, goodbye cruel heat of Summer.

Ta Ta . . . you won't be missed!!! . . . ;-)
