My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and me...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Tex,
You hit the nail on the head! Until we once again respect the word of God, and begin tolive by His laws, we will never be able to rise above our common problems. Equally important is that God helps those that help themselves!!! Nan and I have a couple of 'Bug-out' bags in the truck, ready in an instant to head out and live off of for at least three days with no other help. I used to teach survival skills, and a little prep goes a LONG ways! Food, water, clothing and such. Anyone want a full listing of emergency supplies you can assembly yourself, I'd be happy to provide one here.

Hello, my friend.
Yes, please do make a list of survival goods.

There was a young Miss from Penn,
for whose pancakes I did have a yen,
if she arrives on time,
I'll pay or a dime,
cos' her pancakes are worth that times ten.

Waffle time is drawing near
Spotsy dear will don her apron
heat the iron and sizzle the bacon
fry the sausage, home style is best
and just give Pancake Poetry a rest!

To live in Victorian times would be a dream it seems for me.
The wealthy lived very well and dined
on fine China of the Oriental kind.
The poor on the other hand
had it quite dismal
lived in cold houses
with left over scraps to eat.
Children died in work houses
the poor were abused by most
while luxury rode in closed carriages
usually warm as toast.

A Soul Reborn
A dark heart weeps in a dark room,
for reasons only the heart will ever know.
When abruptly emotions long locked now flow,
freed from their once iron bound tomb.
What a surprise it all becomes then,
when emotions are free to rage again.
It becomes so hard to clearly see a sin,
and a dark heart cant tell where from when.
To awaken to life about you is such a shock.
when all youve known is kept within.
Now youre awash in a tide of life again,
when your heart becomes at last unlocked.
Feel it, the power of the awakening in you,
sundering all that darkness you held inside.
Its suddenly becomes the most wondrous ride,
and you rise up into life again as you do.

Survival list
Bug-out Bag Contents
Clothes
1. 2 Changes of clothing (jeans, shirts, and light sweater)
2. 4 Changes underwear
3. 3 Changes of thick socks
4. 1 Rain Poncho
5. 1 Jacket
6. 1 Warm hat
Keep it simple, warm is better, and cheap here can kill you!
Gear
7. A good compass (Silva)
8. A road map of the area around you
9. A weather radio with extra batteries
10. 2 Flashlights with extra batteries
11. 1 Leatherman style compact tool set
12. 1 plastic container of strike anywhere matches
13. 1 package of campers fire starters
14. 1 Campers wire saw
15. 50 coil of heavy cord (often called parachute cord)
16. 1 small plastic tarp (to form shelter if needed)
Learn to use each item, it is important!!!
Food
17. 1 package Seven Oceans 500 Gram compressed food ration (2 bars a day 6 bars total)
18. 1 package MAINSTAY WATER PACKETS
This will feed you and provide water for 3 days as you move to an area away from the problem. (Or keep you fed until help can come to you)
Keep in a bag in your car, ONE BAG PER FAMILY MEMBER! Each bag will protect, feed, and aid survival for one person for three long and potentially terrible days.
Look at your map, and plot a destination in each compass direction. Why? Because in the event of trouble, you must pick a direction away from danger, and go there. Having four goals allows you to reach safety no matter from which direction the danger comes. If you are separated from your family, a copy of your map will provide them the chance to join you later. Have a plan and stick to it! Learn simple survival techniques, PRACTICE them regularly, and learn to survive. In the event you need them, learning-on-the-job is not a real honest option. Remember New Orleans!
